Same, I pussyfooted around it forever and missed out. Oh well, guess I will keep my preorder @ GS for the free upgrade to SE.

Seriously hope they do the right thing and honor the $34.99 price for those that got in. Good luck to those that did.

Somewhere, probably here, I think I read the controls or this game are currently so bad it's unplayable. I'll wait if true.

Yup, deal is dead :/

Haha, yes!

Will keep an eye on this one. The footage at E3 surprised me, and not necessarily in a good way. But my girlfriend loved watching me play Heavy Rain. Let's see what Cage is up to next.
This is the only scene that plays like this btw. You are not in a warzone all the time ;)

You are right. The journalist who called it unplayable couldn't adjust to non inverted camera controls......that's why he called it unplayable. He later added that the final game will have an option for that. For some reason a Gaffer went ahead and created a thread.

Thanks for the clarification. If the non-inverted controls can be selected, and this fixes the "issue", I'm back in. Game looks good, and I thoroughly enjoyed Heavy Rain

It's this line of thinking that results in all games having to be $60.

Thank you! Everyone thinks half price is bad quality. Jeesus people its not out for 4 months! Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time was $39.99, The Walking Dead was released for retail at $29.99, $14.99 digitally, same with Journey those games aren't crap! Give flexible pricing models an f'ing chance. The game is hardly even done yet.

Worst case scenario its written as bad as heavy rain but remains an interesting experiment.

Let's not forget IGN had bad impressions with Metro 2033, and Spec Ops: The Line.

This is part of Sony's new pricing plan. If you recall, Puppeteer is only $40. I think since the price of PS4 titles is going to be the same as PS3 titles are now, it makes sense to lower the prices of new PS3 games. Remember this game won't come out until October, so we'll be a lot closer to the PS4 launch. You wouldn't want to make the games for your new console appear to be worth as much as the new games for your old console, would you? Wouldn't that depreciate the quality of PS4 titles?

orrrrr

BOMBA

EDIT: I see the price is back up to $60. I guess that means my theory is wrong

Yeah I heard from several people who played it that they had no problems with it. You also have to consider that this scene takes place in the last third of the game and there is pretty much no tutorial. So just by design it is going to be harder and maybe even frustrating. It's probably not that difficult at all if you play the game from start to finish and are properly introduced to the mechanics. It's just like playing the last fight scene in Heavy Rain or the first trial on hard mode without any tutorial, anybody would probably suck ass lol

Their impressions are not even that negative really: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/13/e3-2013-beyond-two-souls-story-keeps-getting-crazier

All the complaints are either related to this demo (which was very short and is pretty unique) or the overarching story (which they can't possibly know at this point). So it is just speculating for the most part. From what they actually played they mostly liked it (acting, dialogue, presentation etc.). Let's just remember that VideoGamer was actually disappointed with The Last of Us after the preview demo and how that turned out when the final game got a 10/10.

It's all about context.

To those of us who ordered it, I wonder if they'll be fulfilled. Ordered mine pretty close to when this thread went up.

Sony just canceled my order. They say it was a pricing error. I'm a little bit irritated, though the coupon is a nice gesture. Good thing I didn't cancel my $53 Amazon preorder yet.
