In a move that not a single soul in the world saw coming, electronics and video game conglomerate Sony took the stage at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show and unveiled not another video game console (it did that earlier), but instead, a full-fledged concept car packed to the gills with its latest battery-electric and connected-car technology. Wowza.

Nearing the end of its on-stage event at CES, CEO Kenichiro Yoshida spoke about the company's involvement in the automotive market. Specifically, he talked about the imaging and sensing technologies that Sony has developed and could one day be used by vehicle manufacturers for their upcoming high-tech rides. Shortly thereafter, Yoshida announced that Sony would be "accelerating" its efforts toward technology developed for the automotive market and brought out the hard, physical proof: a concept car it dubbed "Vision-S".

That car is like me when I was 13, almost cute but at the same time almost an ugly Muppet. Its a butterface car. Everything is shapely with nice lines and a good looking rear end but it front of the car is like Turbo Teen in mid sneeze.

Lets be honest and rational here...

Sony is a big corporation with many divisions, and their time at CES is kinda limited to show all the good stuff of their New tvs, cameras, smartphone and now even car (lmao) can bring to the market on a conference that is not even dedicated for games.

Given how much important is PlayStation division, of course that the obvious move is to really talk about It on an special dedicated event when we can have Full blown reveal with exclusive contents (First party exclusives), Power, specs, New dualshock, design etc. They dont want PS5 to share the same limited time with many of their products from other divisions.

If there isnt any PSMEETING before E3, then we can agree theres something wrong Going on.

But no big announcement at CES is the norm. No reason for drama here.

A bit of fun at GAF =/= drama ... It's just...fun.

It was an interesting move by SONY to position themselves at a CONSUMER show with a full blown car when the tech they're selling is going to be as a supplier to OEMs

MS and Nintendo responses: "You can have it"

Elon Musk: "Tesla has sold tons of electric cars for high prices, we still lose money, and historically Tesla has lost somewhere between $5 and $10 billion in profits for the past 10 years"

Is this correct? Wow, that’s insane! Musk is delivering a “green” product that benefits our environment (and planet) to the detriment of his own wealth ( to a large degree anyway). Dude is the real deal.

He makes tons of money as most of his compensation is in Tesla stock. The stock price hit an all time high at $450 this week.

His net worth is something like $30 billion.

Cars running on coal isn't remotely green.
