Sony's E3 2014 - What are we all expecting?

  • Project Beast as the big surprise of the conference. Surprise!
  • To finish the conference a 30 second teaser trailer where you see someone a girl running in a jungle. Suddenly she falls into the ground and a sound... *clicker* /screen turns black

I would massacre just for the one I'd highlighted.
I sunk so many hours into that game I can't even count. EvE+Project Legion (aka Dust 514 PC+PS4) would be so awesome.

Ya, I hate third party none exclusive taking all the stage time too.

Well on the bright side, it looks like we'll only have one Ubisoft demo on Sony's stage this year. If Far Cry 4 is revealed at Sony's conference (which I don't expect they will, but at their own) then it'll probably just be a short trailer.

I only recall Ubisoft having shown a teaser trailer and a gameplay demo of a new title at their own conferences, unless they have some exclusive title for Sony which seems unlikely.

EvE definitely looks like a good bet, CCP seem to have a good relationship with Sony so it doesn't sound to far-fetched.
 
Wants: New IP, new Ratchet & Clank, GTA V/Red Dead Redemption "remaster", some exclusives that are a mix of shooters (full of outstanding violence) and peaceful action-adventure platformers. Confirmation that soon, I'll be able to use Plex right from my PS4 and play media files.

Expecting: Indie, indie, indie, VR, indie indie, some games you know about, talk about sales, one new game that won't come out for a few years (if ever).

Expect the worst. It's the best way to be blown away.
 
This E3 will be blast for both Sony and MS. I read MS is planning to announce few things/games before E3.

I hope Sony have megatons to show beside what I already know.

that's the dumb thing. a leak is somehow invalid because "oh well it got leaked where are the surprises?"
 
Just surprise me I'm really hoping for a Jak or Crash game. I know some people hate these games for whatever reason but I felt their platforming was good.

We may see a Dust 514 or their new FPS project though. It was not a bad effort, just needed more actual meat and integration. IT just felt like a generic F2P shooter.

I would like to see PS Now details, and a couple of games I have not seen. Anything but sequels.

Actually I take what I said back. Ubisoft's conference will be before Sony's so at that rate anything's possible.

this is what I expect and it's depressing, even if sony did have amazing games to annou8nce they'll probably only have 30s clips while we're forced to endure torturously long demos of this stuff being played poorly

Probably will only get 50% of this.

I will be happy if we get this. I just hope Sony Bend's IP is also showcased here. That would be sweet.

For Sony's probably 2 or 3. MS tend to have more but they're usually shorter.

All i expect is Order gameplay.

Im prepared to be very disappointed for the rest of this year.

Publishers just keep holding onto last gen even though the overly long last gen almost killed the console industry.
 
A better trailer of Kingdom Hearts III. What they showed last time was a tech demo at best. Give me dat story trailer. Of course a trailer of Final Fantasy XV.

Just more jRPG's in general

Not another God of War, tired of Kratos. Unless its in a new setting with a new character or something.

  • Sony Santa Monica game (studio's already too busy supporting everyone else)
  • Quantic Dream new game (also too early in development)
  • Media Molecule (small studio, ambitious plans)

I'm surprised so many people are thinking GT6 on PS4 will be revealed/showed. Driveclub (even if arcade compared to gt6) is too similar in look and will surely be shown so i'm almost sure GT6 wont be in the conference...
 
Last Guardian and one new big Vita game would be enough to make me more than happy =]

Something Gravity Rush 2 too, please.



Localisation of Sega Vita and PS4 titles (Phantasy Star, Yakuza) would blow my mind.

Think they might announce some PS2 info pre E3 or would be nice if they show trailer at the conference and end it with "Available to download now" :-)

I've heard good feedback from my friends who have played it on the PC so I am certainly interested.

-Uncharted 4 trailer showing some quick snippets of gameplay. 2015 release date.
-Ratchet on PS4 announcement. I could see this being a Fall 2014 release. Smaller game, reduced price point.
-Sly Cooper announced for PS4. 2015 release date.
-Media Molecule new IP revealed.


Finally, I believe The Last Guardian will finally be revealed as a PS4 project, with a release date later this year. I think Sony MUST have told this team this was their deadline. The game is literally entering Duke Nukem territory now. I just don't see how they could justify any further time in development now.

Hoping to see:

- some Uncharted 4 gameplay
- Project Beast trailer of some sort just for confirmation that it exists outside of Gaf
- Shadow of the Beast
- Motorstorm: Pacific Rift HD

I didn't say that?

Given their new IP was cancelled and after Sony's comments I just think it's highly likely they won't have a game developed by SSM at E3. There might be a couple of co-developed titles though if you're lucky, Giant Sparrow's next title I'd say has a high chance of being there.

Nailed it. All except for Gran Turismo, doubt they would steal Drive Clubs thunder like that unless it's a super early sneak peek.
