Soul Calibur 3 screens

The more I see of this game, the more faith I have in the CAW. It could be addictive awesomeness sizing up a fight with various created warriors my friends and I save on the mem card.

Every goddamn character ever imagined will be possible in this, somehow. I bet there's a hand-to-hand class (each class has four sets of moves to choose from), so you can set up mostly any traditional fighter... if you don't want to give Kasumi a katana or Aoi a fan, for example.

Just from that wallpaper, I see costume parts that will work perfectly in creating some of my original characters. I'm gonna love this game.

These pictures have me so excited for SC3. When's the releaste date? Fall? Why so far away? :)

Is it just me or does Setsuka looks like Keira Knightley? Not in the CG but gameplay.

Ohhh, Ayane vs Seung Mina...
I hope they keep the modes that let you simply watch the computer controlled characters fight.

Haha, I'm sure someone will be making a Michael Jackson. :lol

I wonder if they'd ever totally ditch the premade characters and just go all out on character customisation? Probably not, I don't see them ditching the characters they've built up over the series.

I think the character customisation bit will be tied in with edge master mode; go through edgemaster and unlock more and more bits and pieces to be used in character creation.

Also, I think you could construct the main characters from scratch in the character customiser... which would make a whole lotta sense :P

I meant more along the lines of you don't have any characters at all. Just a list of jobs, you create your character and then only fight randomly created computer characters.

As I said it's probably not something they'd do entirely, but I could see (eventually) an online mode where players can't use any of the existing characters, only created ones (I'm not talking SC only here, the same could apply to Tekken or VF as well). Although you could do interesting things with a single-player mission mode structure if you had a huge variety of of AI opponents.

I want a cowboy dammit!!!

Cowboys would be outmatched. Their lame ass quick draw would be put to shame by BOTH Ninjas and Pirates.

Then there's the drunken barfighting skill which would still put them at a huge disadvantage in close quarters.

Oh, I just had a very discouraging thought...

I hope you aren't forced to fully dress the characters before you are allowed to use them.
I can understand that certian body parts need to be covered but, I don't want to be forced to make my character wear shoes, shirts, and shorts.
I really want to see underwear in this game.

I wonder how "Action Replay" or "Code Breaker" friendly the game will be?

Slightly OT (or should I say OC, har har), but I want that t-shirt so very badly.

Then why not buy it!

The Most Ultimate Battle of All Time - ON YOUR CHEST.

For billions of years the Werewolf and the Unicorn have been mortal enemies. Tonight the two foes will enter the Ring of Death, yet only one will leave. It is on tonight as these two square off in a battle to end all battles. And now you can commemorate that epic battle with this t-shirt!

Available in American Apparel Standard asphault ($18), Hanes Gold Nugget/Deep Navy and Black ($17) , and AA Girly Asphault ($19), this is the most ultimate t-shirt design ever made.

You'll probably be able to get away with underwear on the characters.

Ninjas vs. Pirates? Pfft... FFXI has NINJA PIRATES. O_o

I was gonna say that the character design has lost some since SC, but then I saw
