Soul Calibur 3?? More like Jagged Alliance! (I'm such a whore for anti-aliasing these days it's not even funny.)

I'm not sure what the big upgrade is here. Why should I play this and not SC2? The character-creation thing sounds weak, there's only 3 new characters and no online play?

well hopefully the character creater is pretty good, but as long as i can play as maxi with more than just 2 gd costumes i will be happy >< ...stupid SC2...


this seems to be a big problem with SC though, the game is just to damn good, the original was so amazing in every way, its hard to improve on it.... im not even sure SC2 was an improvement ~_~ ... but at least with character creation, you can have loads of differant characters, i just hope there is enough move sets so that everyone isnt just a clone..

Yeah, my problem exactly. I feel like passing on this one and waiting for SC4 on a next-gen machine. Now *that* should prove for a worthy upgrade, if not for the HD resolution alone. SC2 and SC3 seem like kind of "hotfixes" or something.

It's a shame. A lot of fighting games suffer from "where's the beef"-itis when it comes to sequels.

SC3 is more of what SC2 should have been ....except they shoulda left in all the extra characters from SC1, and put in online play.
