I dunno man, I've seen the phrase 'cooning about' used on this board before and it flew under the radar. He perhaps thought he'd get away with it under the 'nigger / nigga' rule. It's a shame because he was an interesting poster and that last post is a really bad way to be remembered.

There is a distinction to be made between "Coon" as a racial slur and how Black Republican was using it. I assume Black Republican was referring to Soulja Boy as a sellout of sorts- I know that may not make sense, but go to any predominantly black, hiphop message board and you'll see the word used in that context. I've heard it used in real life too quite a bit by some of the black people in my city over the past few years.

I dunno, I wasn't offended by Black Republican's comment because I know who he is and what he probably meant.
