Seeing the sun break over the horizon on the earth ? Is that what we are seeing on the right?
What is with that crazy purple liquid stuff?
What was that purple thing with floating liquid?
kinda sad how few people are watching it. there was a stream yesterday for h1z1 and it had 3 times that number
Yeah, I saw that too.Guess we all just saw some white thing flake off, hopefully it wasn't important.
Someone watching this baked out of their mind is probably losing their shit seeing this.

What time is Falcon supposed to land on the drone boat/platform thing?
edit: nevermind, see Musk's tweet. "landed hard", does that mean it basically exploded into fiery chunks on the drone ship?
To be fair, it's fricken pitch black out there in the ocean at this time. The little guy probably had to rely on autopilot.
I assume landing is always autonomous. Pitch black or not...
That'd be a safe bet, lol
Yes. No. (in pieces, not reusable)So, sounds like the landing was a partial success? I wonder whether the rocket will be reusable or needs some refurbishing.

Where did you hear that? He said the "drone ship" was fine, not the booster stage.Wait, what? Elon said the rocket was fine.
Wait, what? Elon said the rocket was fine.
The ship, as in the barge is fine. The rocket ship ... we don't know. *ed* yap yap *ed*
I think/hope they got good data for future attempts, so it's all good. It's rocket science after all.
Well I feel dumb, now.
landing burn (from reddit, 15s exposure):sounds like perhaps the landing rockets didn't fire, otherwise the 'pitch dark' part shouldn't matter?

If the landing rockets didnt fire, then the first stage would have written off most of the ship..
