SpaceX Starship 150 meter hop attempt! [SUCCESS!]

It looked so weird, you bet them moon tin hat people will be pointing at it.

It really looked like someone threw it through after effects for a meme.

This is awesome to see.

I think SpaceX has brought about the biggest revolution in spaceflight since the Saturn V and the space race ended.
  • Reusable rockets
  • Precision landings of said rockets
Possibilities are endless.

They are on their way to becoming the real life Astro Corp from Ben Bova's Grand Tour series.

2020 is SO fucked up in the best and worse possible ways.
I fucking love it!
One day: looting, riots, fires, explosions in the middle east...
Also same day: Just launching silos into space.

100%. The fact that Blue Origin can't even make it to Low Earth Orbit despite all of its time and billions in funding also puts SpaceX's and Elon's accomplishments in perspective.

I envy future generations that get to explore space and travel between planets. Seeing the Space X launch and this "hop" really give me hope for the next stage of civilization.

Pretty amazing stuff, all these streams and tests Nasa and Space X have been doing is really incredible. I could watch this stuff all day, the amount of engineering that goes into these is so very impressive.

The videos are insanely cool, but what's the application for this? Is it part of an iterative process or is the hop the final aim?
