Damn. I went up to teh Bronx so i stopped by one of my favorite Dominican restaurants.

I was gonna go with half a chicken with rice and beans but i looked up at the menu and i saw "Chicharron de Pollo." So i had that with white rice, beans, a salad, Aguacate and a piece of cake for later on.

There simply couldn't be any better food out there. This almost feels better than sex.

Spanish food has its moments, but its not the best ever. Spanish food is over done, some it anyways. I guess yo ucould say that about all different types of cultures foods, but for me tis most evident in Spanish.

Dominican food is pretty damned great. I can't stand columbian food those. Their rice should be called Sopa da Grasa. It rebels with my stomach.

I like Dominican food. I don't like columbian food. Columbian rice has a lot of grease in it. Foods that have a lot of grease in them don't like to stay in my stomach for very long. Understand now?

Mexican food in New England! Why not just get chinese food from Canada. I pity those who will never know a native grown and roasted green chili. I'm done.

Canadian Chinese food can be pretty good. Toronto and Vancouver both have large Chinese populations.

Anyways, people of Mexican heritage are all over the US.

Which restaurant?

My friends and I hit Malecon on 175th (well around there) and broadway in Washington Heights all the time. The after club crowd comes through at 3:30 in the AM on Saturdays and the chicks there are incredible. One time a couple of buddies and I met up with some other friends that had been sitting there for a solid hour just staring at this one chick. She was far and away the most gorgeous creature any of us have ever seen. The Malecon on 231st street pales in comparison. El Economico across the street is much better.

Though my mom cooks better dominican food than any fuckin' restaurant out there. Her pernil or bistec is the best in the country. If you want to come over to try it out, feel free. :lol

You guys, Tibetan food. And...Ethiopian food. Amazing. Tibetan dumplings (momo) are so awesome. They also have some buttered, salted tea that's really good. Ethiopian food with that sponge bread stuff and the spicy what-have-you. YES. And bubble tea (no ethnic basis). I'm going for some Honeydew green tea with lychee tapioca pearls in a few minutes here.

I was up on Forham Road. It's called Three Way Restaurant. You know i dont' even know the street, always forget. When you're coming down fordham, you make a left right before Fordham campus. It's across teh street from that one Carvel icecream.

Service sucks but food is godly.

Webster/Third Ave (the road splits at that point), right by the Sears. I'll try it out sometime, I chill in that area from time to time.

I love Chinese food. All of them (the ones I've tried anyway). Szechuan and Hulan food are the best! And cantonese dim sum, yum=9 Hot pot, yummer, espeically the one with chicken and snake. Nothing beats a giant bowl of shark fin soup. Love all the Japanese food also, except for natto. Also great are korean food, as are Thai food and Vietnamse pho.

Can't narrow down to specific culture, so I'll just go with Asian food>*
I still gotta try Indian food, I've heard great things about it.

Right now I'd eat food from any damn country. I've been broke since last Thursday when i payed off my student loan, and I've been eating rice and week old kidney beans since friday. There's absolutely no other food in the house, and I don't get paid until 9 tomorrow morning. I'm counting down the frickin hours, I swear. This is gonna be a long night.

I just went back up by the Grand Concourse a couple of days ago. Brought back memories of cutting class at Bx Science back in the day (occasionally ;)...

I'm all about Roti.

But I'm not going to pick favorites. Frijoles negros and platanos maduros will forever be one of my favorite comfort foods.

That isn't Spanish food, though. It's Dominican.

Spanish (the one from Spain) cuisine is currently among the best in the world, thanks to some of the best cooks in the world (Arzak, Adriá...)

Indian food gets boring pretty fast, but then again I've had it practically every night for 20 years or so.

I really love chinese food though, I sometimes drink soy sauce to wake myself up :D

djtiesto

is beloved, despite what anyone might say
Thai, Mexican, and Indian are probably my favorites right about now... I had Ethopian down in DC, was pretty interesting, but the sponge bread got to me after a while... I think everyone should experience eating Ethopian food once in their life.

What's Nigerian food like? And what's the difference between the different Latin American foods - Cuban, Equadorian, etc? My own experience is just with Mexican and a little Chilean. I love eating new random types of foods tho :D
