I don't want them to spoil the whole game either, but I disagree. Obviously this doesn't apply to the presentation we saw yesterday as that was the same mission just approached in a different direction which was smart of them, but I think if their promotional campaign is just to market the hell out of Afghanistan and the first act with extensive playthroughs, that's not only a little boring and makes the game seem less ambitious than it really is but could be more dangerous in the long run for spoilers than simply teasing other locations.
If they go this route, at some point the Afghanistan act of the game will have had too much exposure, and we'll know exactly what to expect within that stage when we play it both in terms of story and whats there like Camp Omega in Ground Zeroes instead of leaving stuff to explore which there should be considering it's an open world game. I mean I know it's massive, but there's still a danger there.
Instead of playing dumb and trying to convince us the entire game takes place in Afghanistan which we know it doesn't, I'd rather they simply teased most of the locations (no story heavy ones from the final act like Shadow Moses and Outer Haven in 4) and attempt to leave an equal amount of mystery about them. I suppose a bit moreso with Africa seeing as it's probably later in the game, but I still think we should at least see some gameplay there just make it a side mission without any cutscenes so it doesn't give away the story.
ToraShira, if one wants to send Kojima something... let's say a GAF art piece... should you send it to Konami in Japan?
When do you want him to get it by? If you send to me I can almost guarantee he will get it by TGS (but not before, if interested, send a PM). Otherwise I'm not sure, I guess you could roll the dice by sending it to our HQ in Roppongi.
Talking about Kojima-san? He's pretty nice, yeah. A little constantly short on time, his translator you saw on the stream is a friend of mine, and I've met him a few times in person. He definitely plays up the role of boss (lowercase b), and demands a lot from his employees, but in light of the quality of his software, could you expect anything less?

I don't get it. Why would he jump to the conclusion that this was anything other than a glitch? That's some PythonSelkan-esque reaching lol. I was waiting to see him actually spot someone, but each clip just looked like normal gameplay to me (he even starts causing some havoc himself) and the guards acting stupidly and going in the wrong direction. Am I missing something? I mean in the second clip, he himself caused the detonation so I'm confused.
Sending it to you would be awesome. I'm just not sure if I should send the ones I already have (the two printed ones) or if immortal joe wants to create a better version with more avatars

I think immortal-joe said he wanted to create a better one with more of us included. If Tora isn't gonna be able to get it to Kojima before TGS anyway, it would probably be better to wait and improve it right?

I'd say it is proof of Team B. Tora has previously been very spoken about Hayter not returning for MGSV. He's clearly on Team B.

Can you relay a message for me? This hype campaign that Konami has launched has been going on too long. It's been cool, but enough is enough. Please drop the subject until there has been something substantial to announce. I love Metal Gear and have been playing the series since I was a child playing Metal Gear on Nes at age 4. That being said, I think the hype train is done. Gone. You're no longer attracting people that aren't acquainted with the series. I may just wait until this is a bargain bin title as a result of the PR campaign. I'm so sick of being teased. You've let loose enough. This wouldn't be a big deal if you didn't announce this big to do to announce a big advancement in your technology to show essentially existing footage. Then you dedicate 20 minutes of what should have been an hour of TPP to Silent Hill. Knock it off, as a long time fan I'm fucking pissed.

To be fair, I think the Silent Hills news is the best thing to happen to gaming in a very long time. It was a masterful reveal and deserves to be talked about. Honestly, I am as excited for it as I am TPP.

I'm sure he won't. But I know I can't be alone here. I won't act like rehashing existing material under the pretense of some "huge development" is not cool. I'm so exhausted by this.
I think it's just us fans losing patience because TPP has been so long in development.
Also, Metal Gear on the NES is nothing more than a port that was made without the consent of Kojima or his team. He publicly disowned it awhile ago.
Seems like a weird concept, but I guess it's pretty cool, too.

This is ridiculous. I was kinda disappointed by yesterday's event but they really don't owe us anything. They really don't have to show us anything at all. People were begging for the behind closed doors E3 footage to be shown and then when they did, all people did was complain about downgrades and pop-in. Ok, that's not all they did but I understand why they don't want to show us much since people tend to pick apart everything even if they outright state it's an early build or whatever.
I think it's nothing more than a crazy glitch.

As they stated in the video, it is simply a look at one of the multiplayer options in The Phantom Pain! ;-) It's pretty awesome - reminds me of Souls invasions!

Yeah, to be fair it did show us how drastically different that same mission could play out. I was happy to learn that the enemy adapts to your playthroughs and that my hope of being able to fulton vehicles while soldiers are in it (as I mentioned back at E3) is in the game.
Holy crap, what an oversight. Our team didn't set it up, so I'm yelling at our digital guy to fix it (or talk to the people who set it up originally to fix it) right now.
Originally I was just annoyed that one was in caps and the other isn't. You're absolutely right, the real name of the game is METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES (caps intended).

If immortal-joe can confirm (and Tora doesn't mind me sending it at a later date), I think that would be a great idea. The "quickie" was already very nice, I'm curious what we could do with more time. Maybe we could even add a message that conveys MGS GAF the best? I can already imagine some of the suggestions...
