I got in and confirmed my purchase. Downloading now.

Buying a digital game at launch shouldn't feel like trying to pre order a new system when it first comes up.

*goes to Nintendo support site to check what error code means*

*support site says there's an error with the request*

I couldn't play Black Ops III on the PS4 for at least an hour after that game came out, and I already had it predownloaded.
 
After countless attempts and error disconnects, managed to get the purchase off through the web link.

Fucking Nintendo... get your shit together!
 
Ok, for those on Amazon, forget the page it gives you with the Redeem on Nintendo.com button and go to your Games and Software library and click the Redeem from Nintendo.com button there instead. Worked first time for me.
 
Got into the Splatoon 2 eshop page 4 times over the course of the last 30 minutes. Finally was able to hit purchase before I got booted on the 4th time. Got an error code while the purchase was processing and got really frustrated/sad. Then noticed Splatoon 2 was downloading on the Home Screen. So happy right now. Best of luck to everyone else trying to buy tonight!

That's fucking insane. I guess I'm lucky because I haven't experience anything like that except for a couple occasions with games releasing on the 3DS.
 
There were issues with Black Ops II when it was announced for backwards compatible in Xbox ONe...and it's a 360 game title

still, i feel your pain
 
I placed just enough money to buy this game digitally. But now I think I'll hold on to that and just get the physical copy instead.

And that's before I've been hearing about all this.
 
Whoa, is the eShop down? I just wanted to buy and redeem some credit before going to sleep, so I could buy the game tomorrow at work and have it downloaded when I come home at night. Maybe I should buy the game code from Amazon instead.

Just tried this. I'm getting this error: "The requested page cannot be displayed at this time. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please use the Contact Us link to report the error."

Looks like I won't be able to download it tonight :(

speaking of which I did not buy ARMS I was too busy. Still busy but I was hoping to at least buy Splatoon 2

I just got the redemption code from the Amazon page itself and redeemed on the eShop. 20 minutes remaining.
