Roller is op, covers huge areas and instakills and it's special is amazing.

Great demo but don't like the controls too much

Ni connection problems and the minigame while waiting for the match was a nice touch.

Man, that was amazing. Didn't play Sniper but the other classes were fun. And yeah, Roller is not OP, at all. Team synergy and playing to your strengths are the key elements. Also not forgetting about your squid ability.

I somewhat enjoyed the test but I really hate the Gamepad, anyone know if the full version will be able to use the Pro Controller? The website says jack about that.
On the eShop it says it supports U Pro controller but doesn't say what for. It says Classic Controller Pro is only for Battle adobo mode.

Yep, the option is there when you're choosing your weapon set. Think you press the right analog click and it goes to the controls menu. At the bottom, you turn off motion controls.

Anywho, before I left I got 3 games in, two with the motion, one with the analog While my team won all three (YAY), much easier when set to duel analog over motion.

Wow, I had a great time. Got used to gyro real quick, won most of my games, and really enjoyed the different weapons (people saying rollers are OP are off their rocker).

Overall it sold me on the game and I can't wait to play more.

Edit: Never experienced any connection issues and had a full lobby within 20 seconds after starting my first game.

LOL @OP rollers. See a roller? Squid backwards and shoot them. Aint shit they can do, except squid too, but then it's whoever outguesses the other person.

I've seen plenty of 3+ roller teams, and only once did they beat me.

Game was a lot of fun, though covering terrain was only really fun with the roller, while when I was playing with the guns it made me more inclined to kill people, with terrain as a secondary goal.

I thought i would have an option to turn off motion controls in game like pax east.... Nope so i sucked the one game i got on :(

It did have that option.

I was one of the people saying rollers were OP, but all of a sudden something clicked and I was picking off rollers left and right, maybe because my aim got better when I switched to sniper even tho I sucked at it.

Rollers are easy if you see them coming and they are just painting. Their wave attack is annoying as shit though if your too close. Certain maps they could be a problem if your in a tight space.

They suck ultraballs at doing any sort of verticality. If you're high enough they literally cannot hit you as they can't paint the walls high enough.

i had more fun this 1 hour than i did playing full games on xbox one and ps4.
you did it again nintendo. you made a fun shooter.
will buy first day. :)

I was doing really well with the roller, but then I went back and tried the other guns again with a better understanding of the game and was getting WAY better scores with them.

Grenades and jumping are the key mechanics, not melee.

The last match u scored close to 1000 on a losing team (no 300+ bonus) with 9 kills and two deaths. We still lost by 60% lol.

I had a blast, the Splatshoot Jr. is the best set imo. Using the rapid shots to cover the area in paint, grenades to distance enemies, and the invincibility ability to wreck the completion was a successful strategy for me. Rollers provided no problems for me in the last few matches.

YES!

I wish I had more time to figure out how the game actually plays. A lot of the time I kept saying, "What does that mean? What is that? How do you do that? Can I do this?"

I guess every weapon gets its own perks and equipment, but I wasn't really sure what did what. Like some weird super beam cannon or how to use my short supply of "unlimited" grenades. I only found out how to maybe effectively use the shield like 2 minutes before it all ended.

I guess maybe I should've watched the Direct...but nah. :P

Nobody is jumping, nobody using verticality ambushes yet, get on that GAF!

The controls were messing with my head so much, When i did try vertical ambushes say on snipers or what not.. it would take me several attempts.. thankfully they werent watching so i'd still kill them.. but I need to stick with roller.. i cant navigate (non invert) and then shoot (invert) as it's a mess (that's how my head interprets the two tasks..)

DAY ONE!
The game is really funny, I loved the weapons and the game system, also, the "jump transportation" with the gamepad is not bad at all.
The game is awesome, can't wait NINTENDO YOU DID IT AGAAAAAAAIN!!!!!!!

Game is great. Managed to go 14/1 in one game. Splattershot Sr. is OP.

Also every time I lost I had at least one and most of the time two snipers teammates on my team. One time all three. Coincidence?

Rollers, rollers everywhere!

Pretty fun but I'm not a fan of the motion control or analog vertical aiming. It feels like it has some strange auto aim that snaps the cursor around. I hope pro-controller support is added in. I'm not too found of using the Wii-U gamepad.

Just got back from the neighbors place, he was playing it with his daughter. Seems to be over, but he had to put the little one away about 20 minutes ago.

Looks like a lot of fun, but he and I both had the same concerns. He mentioned Titanfall, how it was super fun in beta but the lack of content was a real bummer, and how this could be the same. Both have great bases, but we'll have to see the legs.

His daughter liked it a lot too, but boy did she suck. :lol

Ah dang, 1 hour's too short!

Starting to get the hang of a few maps now. I have only tried the two rapid-fire sets so far, but I'm loving the shield powerup of the Jr set. Rollers can't do shit as they're running into you. Also rollers are pretty easy targets... for now. The moment people are getting the hang of going all MGS all over the place is the moment I start getting crazy paranoid about scattered enemy blops of ink.

Also last round was pretty crazy. Teammates were scattered all over the place, our spawn, their spawn, side areas... while they controlled the center. In the end they still managed to win the match even tho we were doing great 2/3rd through. Good times.

I love the roller so much. People need to learn how easy is it to kill me though.

I can be pretty sneaky.

The worst part about the rollers is people coming up behind you with it. By the time you realize they're there you're already dead

That was AMAZING! The roller is my jam! I was consistently getting 1000+ points a match with it. P.S I was Elise in-game in case I ran into any Gaffers.

What level did everyone reach in Squid Jump? I made it to 7.

For anyone that won't get a chance to try out the demo I'll be uploading all of my matches to youtube tomorrow.

Only if there's no ink around. Squid form outspeeds them.

Wow. That was amazing.

The first two rounds were kind of rough, but by the end, I was getting 900-1000p per round. So much fun.

I found the regular Splattershot to fit my playstyle the best. I really enjoyed surging ahead at the beginning and covering the middle section. I found that there was kind of a timing thing to the Warehouse level, where if you rush to the middle, splatter a little, and then move to paint the side area, you can get a good angle on the enemies when they approach. Almost every match I would fill the middle, move to the side and then smack 'em when they would show up.

Getting through the middle junctions of the warehouse level is really tough. It seems like the key there is to cover a little of the middle platform, hide momentarily and then pop out forward and take over their section. I noticed the little path to the side of their base was really great for hanging out and bopping people as they would show up.

Surprised that I didn't enjoy the Roller that much. I think I play it too aggressively and don't pop in and out enough. I think I'm better at just sneaking into the enemies' section and then just covering paint, rather than actually fighting people. On some of the Rig matches, I barely would ever see anyone.

The Roller is so ridiculous. I am terrible at FPS and still managed to get 10 kills in one match, haha.
