I don't think the gyro gives a huge advantage over dual analog. Most of the weapons in the testfire don't require super precise aiming. I don't mind using it, but I didn't feel gimped when I tried dual analog and I performed just as well with it off.

I think I played enough for now. It's fun, but I'll wait till August or later to see if there's a deal because the game prices here are too high.

Good to see people loving this game. The wanking about no voice chat seems over blown. This is Nintendo they know design.

If they did half the shit people wanted them to do I bet they'd be much worse off.

Got into a game where my whole team was rollers and thought that was enough for today. It was lagged to shit too. Going to keep the pre-order, £25 is fair for what it is.

yeah I'm #TeamRoller

I feel like I rarely die because I remember the roller has its own ranged attack unlike most of these other roller kids lol

omg I never used the Shield with the JR because I didn't know how. I'm cleaning up with this thing now solely due to the Shield.

Can Roller use it in the full game?

This one dude was holding down a spot really effectively just now, and I felt like my team was losing. Then we pulled out the win. I guess they needed to spread around more.

Is it $60 over there? Over here, it's £30 and even then can be found for £25.

Yikes! Yeah, it's $60 in the US. I remember reading it's 40 Euros too. I wonder why NoA expects us to pay so much more for the same game. That's pretty disappointing -- especially since Nintendo games rarely go on sale, so it could be stuck at $60 for a long time.

The single player component? The unlocks? They've already broken down the bunch of modes they've planned post launch.

Could you link me to a breakdown of those? All I've really read was that the single player was just the normal mode against bots in specific scenarios. That's not really what I'm looking for in a single player component of a game like this.

..and post-launch support is nice, but again, the prime issue here is the price.

There might be a roller with a shield, pretty sure there are varitions of the same weapon having different sub weapons and special weapons.

Nah, that still blows and is total nonsense.

It isn't just about precise aiming, it's about the quickness of aiming too with gyro. Gyro is better for the exact same reason as a mouse or light gun. However, gyro has the problem of re-calibrating/re-orientating, and I guess comfort for some people?

Well shit, the game is pretty solid. I need to play with the controls a bit more. I like the Gyro, but it's a little annoying as well...

Good for me. Always a bonus to not have to hit mute all to get rid of the annoying kids. Less buttons.

That is bizarre. I thought they were positioning this a budget game, but regional pricing like that is all kinds of weird.

Now that I've got a handle on the mechanics I'm placing consistently well in the team standings! The Jr. is my weapon of choice so far since it the fast rate of fire means it's much better for close encounters, which is how most enemy encounters go. I like that this is a competitive shooter that I'm actually pretty good at!
I won't be able to pick this up day 1 because of exams, but come mid-June I'm gonna jump in for sure!

It finally clicked for me but I still want pro controller support at some point. I want to put the gamepad on the desk in front of me so I can still use the map but want to control my character and aiming with the pro controller, surely they patch this in?

Abenomics. They can afford the hit on Euro/Lyra, they can't afford the loss of revenue from USD to Yen conversions, would be my guess.
