Hats like the miis in smash get would be cool. Ink splats also work.

Im doing this on my phone and the app crashed and I lost my layers. (probably my fault messing with lots of heavy effects very quickly). I'm still trying to find the right ones that still look good. It definitely needs more color.

No, since it extends across the whole map. It only splats opponents. (It also goes through walls, btw)

Wow, I seriously thought it also laid down paint. Funny how you can miss obvious things like this with all the frantic action.

It's not a preorder discount. It's a discount based on whether or not you took part in/downloaded the testfire.

I think the discount will be applied on launch for a certain period if you had downloaded the testfire demo so you should be fine.

The killer wail has a set height and width. You happened to be below it when in squid form, hiding in ink doesn't inherently protect you.

And despite all the fuss made in some quarters about the purposeful lack of voice chat (Nintendo insist they want to make ‘a safe, clean environment’ for players) one of our favourite moments was when equipped with a Splat Charger we were trying and failing to swim up a wall as a squid. A team-mate noticed what we were doing, realised the problem and used their normal gun to paint the wall for us. We then both swam up and used our new vantage point to rain hot Dulux death on all those below.

A nice moment in a voice-less world.

That's a problem because "Booyah!" is "Nice!" in Europe. And "C'mon!" is "To Me!" ...

We should make a morse code system. Two 'booyahs' are 'Go to the left!'

(I wish we would have more voice commands, though, like TF2. Saying 'Enemy in the Ink' (or some variant) is particularly needed, and would be good if only those around you could hear it.)

In terms of stages, the direct showed a total of 9 stages to be released in the future, three that we've known about already from screenshots and 6 question marks. Depending on when the August update happens that's basically enough for one new stage every week until the update.

I think I'm going to do the latter. I'll just play single player until Ranked Battles is unlocked and then complete whatever is left later.

If they want to push the limits of the servers further they should do a single session test. Schedule it during the same time and day of the prevoius tests highest player count. There might be enough positive word of mouth to bring in more people.

They did the right thing in holding a free stress test demo with no preorder bullshit for specific times.

The servers were solid as hell and I doubt that the launch will even come close to stress test numbers. They don't need another stress test unfortunately.

Lets hope they improve and don't regress like the Halo:MCC online fixes.
