I have gotten a lot better at the gyro controls and I'm splatting people left and right now, but I'd still like it to have a higher polling rate or higher resolution of possible angles, whatever it is that it needs for extra refinement and smoothness. It feels clunky when it updates significantly less often than the framerate.

And while there isn't much to do about it, I am still adjusting to the activation of your special. I'll either throw a bomb instead of activating it, or I'll activate it then throw a bomb. Something about clicking the stick then using R just doesn't feel right. It'll take a while to develop the muscle memory.

Well at 4 hours with 3 minutes per game the maximum would be 80. Realistically figure 5 minutes or so per game and that puts you at 48, so you have a long way to go!

Nope, it says you can't buy it when you check out a character with the amiibo gear.

The so-called 'free dlc' is literally just the rest of the game that should have been there from day one. Yet the game gets 9/10 reviews for it... If this was a non-Nintendo game it would get blasted in reviews for that practice. Other games that ship without half the game get regularly derided on Neogaf.

That said, the core gameplay, weapons, customisation are great.

every review I read took into account the complaints you have. the game is just really damn good despite its shortcomings so it still scored well.

Happened once to me so far. We were a full lobby waiting for two minutes before it said it couldn't find a full lobby (which we were). Then I got an error message so started a new search and it was fine.

This has happened once to us in about 4h of play today. It kind of reminds me of the Mario Kart thing where it would keep waiting for a bit and give an error message if someone disconnected during lobby matchmaking. In fact it might be the very same thing.

I had to turn off my Wii u and turn it back on because it had a 3 minute counter before connecting to a match that I couldn't opt out of. Maybe they should tell us there's gonna be a long timer before forcing us to sit through it

Played my first online match as soon as I booted it for the first time. Pretty damn fun and we won too. Very smooth no lag either, still getting used to the gyro aiming.

Very glad I bought a bigger battery for my game pad.

From my experience, I talked to him when I was at +8, got some coins, and he mentioned he might give me a rare gear. But then I talked to him when I was +21 and I got nothing. Do you only get one reward per 4 hour period?
