It still has unlockable perks and weapons, but man does it feel good to play a shooter where your K/D isn't tracked and made public.
More games should still this scoring system for stuff like King of the Hill, display a point total based on how much you actually contributed to the objective, and either don't show K/D or put it off to the side, and don't make kills and deaths in objective modes affect players' overall ratios.
