I think I like this game... I didn't like the testfire demo but having played the first world in the SP mode and a couple of matches, I think I'm happy with my purchase. It's so different and it's a breath of fresh air.

Does casual play not have a "match making" system, or does it just take first come first serve. I'm only level 5 but even at level 2 I was playing with level 20s.

So far everything seems good, still getting used to motion controls. The only complaint I have so far is I play the warehouse level 4 times in a row. Not sure I am feeling the 4 hour map rotations.

Played my first online match as soon as I booted it for the first time. Pretty damn fun and we won too. Very smooth no lag either, still getting used to the gyro aiming.

Very glad I bought a bigger battery for my game pad.

Arrow Mall seems a bit too big. Also seems like it was made for the charger lol.

It's also funny on this map that you die if you fall in water. Squids can't swim.

From my experience, I talked to him when I was at +8, got some coins, and he mentioned he might give me a rare gear. But then I talked to him when I was +21 and I got nothing. Do you only get one reward per 4 hour period?

Yeah I think that's how it works, you only get I streak reward per level rotation so I think it's best to talk to him when just before the rotation happens.

How does map rotation work?

You get a choice between two maps, and every two hours the maps switch. I haven't played enough yet to know if the map rotation can include a map from the previous rotation, but I assume that's probably not the case and we get two fresh maps each rotation.

I guess that's true haha. This is the first 'shooter' I've played in about 10 years, and even then that was never competitive. The only online games I really play is Mario Kart. All I can say is, I'm trying! I'm not too bad, and with randomers I do pretty well, and some GAF lobbies I did okay, but some I was getting demolished. I still need to find my bearing I think. I use the Splattershot, I'm not very good with weapons that run out of ink quickly :$

Game's pretty wonderful. Camera for me was wonky at first but I'm getting used to it. Love the feel of the world, the characters and their dialogue. Not to mention it's fun as hell.

Just finished the single player and I'm pleasantly surprised!

Stands nicely on it's own merits in addition to serving as a tutorial for multi.
