I'm horrible and the cold did not help

Nearing the end of the single player mode. Just finished 23. Gotten all the scrolls thus far (pretty easy to find for the most part). Great visuals and some neat ideas, but most of it was too easy. The last few levels were pretty fun, and so were the octoling encounters. But I think my favorite part is actually looking for the levels themselves. The last section in particular was pretty large and open for free platforming/exploring.
Looking forward to seeing the final boss after hearing mostly positive reactions to it.

it's a baffling design decision. Even MMORPGs let you adjust the look of your armor without having to sacrifice the stats. There's absolutely no benefit in making the main abilities unchangeable and I'm rather confident they'll change it in one of the coming updates

Maybe tie it to shells or something, make it super expensive...just give me a way to stay fresh!

I should play more Splatatoon but people are hogging the TV to make up for the time I was hogging it earlier. Didn't play Mackerel in Zones so far, but Arowana or Urchin are my favorites.

I'm am having an incredibly hard time feeling comfortable with this right analog stick.

What sens do you guys use. I have it at -3 now to feel like I have any sort of control rather than flicking my aimer everywhere.

I'm considering going back to motion controls

I don't understand — why would you create outfits for certain colors when the colors are randomly selected once a match begins? Or are you saying you're trying to find one outfit that looks good in every color?

Btw, the answer is the schoolgirl (or schoolboy) outfit. Looks great no matter the color.

I'm weird and color lock when I have gear that looks good in one color. When I get tired of looking at that color, I want other stuff I can try for other colors I might lock to.

Also, wow GAF is savage/this dude Splatacus is lagging out.

I use 0, but I use motion controls, so I'm not sure how different it is.

Whelp, giving up on ranked until more people rank up. Waiting roughly 5 minutes for each A- game is boring.

Play when the sun is up in Japan. I have no trouble finding any matches as an A then. As for actually moving up in rank at that time.... that's a different story.

I have the sensitivity at -0.5. Motion controls I can warmly recommend. Game changer. No two way around it.

I would rather not have double splats galore.

What people should be doing is leave after every match. The online seems to work like MK8 where it doesn't get people to join an existing lobby or something for a while.

15/1 K/D in turf wars. All the skilled people definitely moving to ranked lol.

Seems that way. It's easy to get 10-15 kills and 0-2 deaths with 1200 base points in Turf Wars, but then going to Ranked with my inflated ego does me no good. Gotta end for today and bite the pillow :|

E: Finally got the boots I wanted today, only to get this set of skills:

Spyke, I have 30,000 coins waiting for you!

Whatever default they have it set to makes it impossible to aim. I turned mine down to -2 which is a bit slower than I'd like but I feel like any higher and I have no control. As someone who tends to loathe motion controls in games, this one handles them really well and I use them.

Clothes should just have gem slots for stats or somethin.

Maybe in Splatoon 2.

This bothers me more than it should, clothes I really like the look of generally get upgrades I could care less for. Just let me pick my clothes, and pay for each slot to be what i want it to be

Yesterday I beat the first two worlds and leveled up to 9. Today I tried out the motion controls again and have got to level 11 and ranked up to C. Have to go to work soon but am looking forward to getting back into it. Yesterday I played with the splattershot guns and the roller but since joining ranked matches have gone with the charger which I'm finally getting the hang of. Still not performing as well with motion controls but am going to stick with them for a while as I am slowly improving with them.

I lowered the resistance all the way down and if feel good

Is running speed a good skill to have? What seems to be the consensus for best skills? (I use a Splattershot Jr)

If you're not very good at this game, there's no better way to make yourself hate it than to jump into ranked matches. 3 straight to start off at saltspray rig. Got murdered each time and I don't even know what happened.
