But Splatoon launched with 5 maps and will have 14 by August...Halo 5 starts out with more than that 2 months later and will get more later!

Give it up, NintenDrone. Gonna sell my Wii U for that Special Edition of Halo 5 now.

Wii U is dead forever.

Hang on, wasn't the online for Halo 5 decidedly broken for a few weeks after it launched..? I seem to remember a load of people complaining about the online being unplayable for a while. Bit pointless having loads of maps to play when you can't actually play online in the first place.

Walking around the plaza.

"No memes here. Move on to the next inkling."

Move to next one.

"All these jokes are Kraken me up like this is you think so."

Next.

*Drawing of Spongebob*

Nope, no developments in the past three days.

Yeah I feel you. I'm not in the A ranks, but I went on a 20 loss spree. Never had one of those ever yet I wasn't upset. Defeated, but not upset.

I can definitely see places where I can improve - basically needing to get off relying on the .52/Seeker/Inkstrike and focus more on being a better player.
Have u tried other weapons, I used to use the same setup as you then switched to the splatter shot jr. and have never looked back, the bubbler is just too good, and the splat bombs are actually better than people give them credit for it gotten countless kills just chucking them trying to push the enemy back

That was The Master Chief Collection which has Halo 1-4.

Halo 5 is the GOTY coming October 27.

Can't keep this ruse up forever

I try other weapons, but just for fun so I put them down and go back to the .52. Haven't went back to the splattershots. I do think the Bubbler is terrific. I think I need to experiment.

Why'd you drop the .52 in the first place? Got tired of it?

Sometimes I don´t understand why people are so eager to more content. Splatoon, as it is right now, is a game that offers tons of depth. Mastering the movement options, studying the maps, mixing team formats, trying all weapons, experimenting with new tactics, swapping perks are all activities that will make the game keep fresh for a long time. All of these variables are so underexplored right now. People ask for more content like if they have been playing Splatoon for 15 years and are starting to grow out of options. Outside of the absence of custom matchmaking and eventual lag, there is nothing currently hindering the depth of the game.

You say that as if Splatoon isn't full of random DCs and terrible connections and killing people only to see them continue on their merry way and then both of you dying 5 seconds later!

Worst netcode of all time!

I was stuck in the B ranks for like a day and decided I needed a change

You can have both, and more maps/content can be more incentive to explore the depth in the gameplay.

I'm quite satisfied with Splatoon's content level. The comparisons to TF2 are apt, I think.

TF2 launched with 6 maps, and a few game modes. Obviously, they have multiple characters classes, which Splatoon essentially has with it's weapon and gear loadouts.

Valve updated TF2, and Nintendo is updating Splatoon. It's a similar story.

Obviously, I can't wait for new content, but what is here is plenty enough to keep me satisfied for now. Also, it's nice to know that Nintendo has plans to keep updating Splatoon in the coming months. So we have somewhat of an expectation of when we're getting new things.

From the video on abilities (Based off the strategy guide), diminishing returns only seems to be a main ability thing. All the sub abilities are a set amount (1/3 the effectiveness of the first main ability).

The Prima guide is not at all clear about how the diminishing returns work for sub abilities, and I can't find any text that describe how stacked sub abilities work (I have the digital version of the Prima guide).

I'm just surprised we haven't gotten another new map; there seemed to be enough to last one a week until August. I wonder when the next one's coming

Yo, man! Halo MCC was worse than this!

Atleast the game don't launch with 5 VS 3 multiplayer...or not launch at all...

are there memes? will there be memes?

I need answers!

Halo 5 don't need Sponges to stay afloat! It will survive through sure epicness and manliness.

Dude. I ranked battle I just played five rounds straight and each time it put against someone named Evan who 3k sniper gave him over 10 kills each round with its reach.

Also the ranks on the opposing team were always higher than my team including two B- and two C+ to a team where no one was above C.

Frustrating.

Oh, okay. The way the guy explained it made it sound like a set amount. Well, something like that should be easily testable in the test area if someone has full 3 slots of the same sub ability.

I didn't see any, but I wasn't really paying attention.

For what?

A Mackerel match where every time you shot a Killer Wail, a truck moved me into it. :lol

Also, good job sniping that roller that Kraken'd up in front of me. I felt so avenged. :lol

I'm eager for more content because I want MORE SPLATOON DAMNIT.

And I want CalliMarie to tell me all about it ;_;

So by that logic, people using Halo 5 as a point of comparison are MS fanboys who hate Nintendo?

How about this: there are good games that launch with a lot of maps and there are good games that launch with fewer maps. Halo 5 is a good game, TF2 is a good game, Splatoon is a good game. No fanboyism involved at any point or needed.
Oh my point wasn't to compare Halo 5 specifically, just how people blindly defend Nintendo products when those same people shit on other companies for practices that Nintendo is now adopting to their business models.
maybe your usually very on-point friend is still on-point and it is, in fact, your fanboyism that is showing through

:O

;)
I've been exposed! lol, nah but the dude owns 3DS's in the DOUBLE DIGITS. Anyone who owns over 10 3DS's is a Nintendo fanboy/fangirl lmfao

Of course. Every variable you increase there will lead to more depth. But the players are not currently exploring all the options of the game right now. It will take a lot time until this happens.

Melee is a game that have been extensively played and studied for more than 14 years with only 6-10 stages and around 12 characters as variables. Even after all this years, new players still join the scene and and the meta is constantly improving.

People like new stuff even when there is a lot at their disposal that they haven't tried. I wonder how many people who rushed to try the inkbrush on day 1 hadn't sampled all the other available weapons online. This is why Nintendo was smart to roll out new stages, weapons and modes gradually.

I played for the first time online today, and enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. But does the game have any means of sorting teams based on their skill levels? It didn't seem right that one team had three level 6 players, while the other had three level 20 players.

BitStyle and DaBoss shaving five years off my estimated life span back to back with those surprise KOs. Jesus DaBoss, a jumping charge shot from off the wall? And that second to last second KO when I was pressing into your turf almost gave me a heart attack. :lol
