Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Bunny hopping blasters are indeed the worst. I have the most problem with them on skatepark though.

Arowana has a bunch of tight corridors + blasters who can shoot around corners because they play with their middle fingers up all the time = corridors are now your death trap.

I like the feeling when you evenly face off a jumper and kill him without doing so, it's like, they look silly.

.9% loss. Coaster225 I liked how you were just chilling in ink as I lured the enemy following me rolling and you popped up and got him.

The only thing with Port Mackerel is that I wish it had more vertical options. The map is really built to prevent people from going up and down. Feels more like a Goldeneye map than a Splatoon map, actually. I guess it's good that they put one like that, though. They can't all be ridiculous towers like Arowana Mall.

Saltspray Rig's spawn area is weird. I kind of like it because it stops the other team from completely pushing to the base. But there's still only, like, three or four exits so it's still kind of choke-pointy.

I loved Golden Eye multiplayer on Wii (didn't play the N64 version). It's probably why I like Port Mackerel a lot. Plus, I've played a fair bit of Advanced Warfare, and I'm sick of the verticality.

I think my issue with Saltspray is that I can't figure out a good way to hold that one area. (The huge area at the top of the map.) I suppose I could just go cover it and camp the area, but that's so freaking boring to me.

I use the Splattershot Jr. So, my strategy is cover turf until I get the bubble, then press the other team's spawn hard. Bubble as necessary. It tends to work pretty well. When you bubble, rollers have no clue what to do.

I let my kids play a match from time to time probably younger kids playing. They are just trying to have fun also.

Oh, I don't have a problem with lower skilled players playing. I just think they should try to make the teams balanced. Throw eight random players in a room, no problem. But, don't randomly assign players to teams. Try and give it a bit of balance. Not sure if it tracks Ink per minute or K/D or anything.

Cause, I just feel bad when a team I'm on totally kills the other team. (And I equally hate it when I'm on the team that gets destroyed.)

Mainly, I was just ticked that my win streak ended.

Aim at their feet. That's what I do. It tends to work fairly well. They're landing in my ink instead of their own which slows them down a bit.

As someone who has been learning the Charger over the last few days and someone who has been beaten down by WALKMAN04... You've earned it.
Lol managed to snipe you, I don't know how people use motion controls though I'm ok when I'm in a single spot but moving I'm terrible

just got the game - really like it actually. couple of questions

1) anyway to increase ink capacity in MP like SP?
2) upgrades gained in SP - do they carry to MP?
3) Control just doesn't seem right. Motion controls are better than expected but having trouble with the right stick option - like the y axis is accelerated - just feels off. Wish this damn thing controlled better b/c it's really fun.

1. Not really but you can get perks that decrease the amount of ink your main or sub weapon will use.

2. No.

3. Try turning down the sensitivity? I'm not sure, I only use the control stick to do fast turns.

I'm having so much damn fun with the .96 gal in turf war. Afraid to try anything but the trusty splattershot pro on ranked.

1) The gear you purchase has perks, and some decrease the amount of ink your weapons use, at level 20 you can reroll gear and add slots.
2) no

Woah my team just left the bad guys with 11% in turf war. I don't know if we are that good or they just sucked.

I had some absolutely bonkers game yesterday where the other side had less than 3%. A bunch of those guys must've fallen asleep or something.

Just had my best round so far. 1506 and went 8-0 in turf war on Saltspray Rig.

I know everyone uses it and says how good they are, it helps with the aiming I'll admit but when moving its terrible at least for me, I'm probably the only A+ rank that doesn't use motion controls

You'll get there. You're one of the best Gaf players. I have nothing but faith.

If you use the Jr. then your main option would probably just be to ninja people when they show up. The ranged weapons, they can sit on those two perches near the top pier and keep people out. But if you're a Jr. player, then I guess you have to patrol the hallways and the entrance to the anteroom area?

The Saltspray pier is a nightmare to approach if the whole section is painted and they have a couple people patrolling the entrance. Even if you take back the middle section, they'll just back up to the top of the ramp and re-group.

The games I play horrible; we win.

The games I clean house; we lose in heartbreaking fashion.

Stop playing with my heart Judd!

Fuck Kas lol always become the kraken right in my face !

Haha I'll rotate the camera to see who's following me when the Kraken chart is full and unleash. I've really only used the roller while playing multiplayer but I think I'm going to try the brush soon.

Whenever I play shooters I like to play as support for my team E.G. engineer in Battlefield.

I'm gonna play a few more matches and try single player tonight.

So are wired ethernet adapters for the Wii U generally a waste of money? I got one and based on speedtests it seems to go even slower than wifi.

Thanks, hopefully I get it, I only plan on using it with the charger but I'll see if it eventually clicks

I had it off for the first week or so and then I gave it another try and now it's so natural I can't imagine playing without it. You definitely need to play around with the sensitivity though.

HAHA, 2 pts away from A and the Splatoon Gods decides to throw a B ranked guy into my team against everyone else in A.

Won anyway, eat that matchmaking. Finally A rank after 5 hours.

I play a good amount of shooting games and have never changed the sensitivity in any game, I always play with what it's set at and just adapt to the game, I don't think sensitivity is my problem either it's just when I'm walking and aiming it's kinda hard but I've definitely gotten better in the few games I've just played, just gonna take some getting used to especially since I'm obviously good enough at stick controls reaching A+, I guess this is my next challenge

All I know is that there are moves I have to pull off with the roller that would be impossible to do without gyro.
Yeah that's also why I'm learning it I'm tired of not being able to jump and aim effectively, well at least not good enough to kill other jumpers, more than half my deaths on ranked come from jumping blasters or rollers
