Splinter Cell: Double Agent Screen (X360)

Considering Splinter Cell's past of *ahem* "OMFG" visuals, I'm not impressed. That plus the preconcieved notion from those earlier shots...

And they just look... "off"...

I don't give a fuck, Shanghai or not, I'm there day 1.

Btw, in SC the camera goes around 360 degrees around Sam. You can play the game from all the angles shown in these screens in the past titles.

looks shit.

PS3 +1

note i own a 360 so im allowed to bad mouth it.

Is this the I have a friend from ethnic group X so I can bad mouth them? No offense but it is plain trolling. Be constructive instead buddy :)
And yes it doesnt look very good. While it looks clean, the geometry seems to be poly starved.. no attention of detail etc.

How should I know? Who is to say that there's no option now to turn the HUD off? Maybe they're taking something away from KING KONG.

I don't know if some of those screens are gameplay shots or not. I just posted to say that SC's gameplay isn't limited by the camera. Anyone who has ever touched a SC game would know that.

Isn't amazing, but still pretty good. Having character models that don't look plastic is a hefty achievement for a next gen game. Looks like they're moving away from the previous world Splinter Cell was set in, where light bulbs were a scarce commodity.

So, uh, yeah. Not awe-inspiring, not disgusting.

To fanboy haters, yes.

Yeah seriously. Sorry to bump but I didn't see these yesterday and these shots look incredible. I don't know how they could possibly look any better than this. Can't wait to play this game.

wow, looks great. it certainly doesnt capture the photoreal look, its more comic book-ish. still incredible though. i cant wait to see it in motion, as thats when you'll really get to appreciate the visuals

I spoke with Ubisoft this morning and learned that these shots aren't that new (someone just pointed that out; touche!). Our contact, however, was informative: He said these are in-game shots, and added that they're a little touched up -- because they're not entirely new -- and the reason they did that was to make them look approximately like the build looks at present. He said the game looks much better than that now, even at this early stage. It's due this September.

Looks good. Still has plenty of time before it is released. Look at the turnaround GRAW had after the disappointing X05 showing.
Quoted for justice.

While this doesn't look absolutely horrendous, I will admit that I expected a bit more.

Anyway, I'm still there - day one.

those are pretty good, and the graphics will look better.

Anyways, hope they put some cloth physics. I don't know why, but I just hope they do because splinter cell has always been one of the first games to try new techniques on consoles (or old techniques on PC, new on console)
