C- Warrior said:The PSP is wholly capable of producing PS2-like visuals.
Problem is, every developer/publisher sees PSP has a secondary medium of revenue, therefore nearly all PSP projects get secondary focus on time and budget, while the primary being consoles.
If you make, a particular PSP project a prime focus, equal/greater than of a console project, then you get great looking games.

it is the psp version, which is called "splinter cell essentials". you can see the title at the first scan.dose said:I know the pics are blurred, but those images look too high res. You can't see any pixelation at all (esp. the 2nd one, looking at the text at the bottom).
I wanna see it running on a PSP first![]()

You're mainly right but its comments like these:Mario said:I don't think anyone has commented on the quality of the gameplay (if they have, I missed it). The only comments I see are recognising that the game *looks* good for a PSP title.
I now know what Ill be buying next for my PSP.
Well shit, looks like I'm going to have a lot to play on my PSP this year.
And like that, Splinter Cell and the next Metal Gear and the new PSP WinBack are in dead heat for PSP Spy game of 2006
There will be a lot of happy PSP owners come release time
Roders5 said:You're mainly right but its comments like these:
Chances are it will be good, but people already have there money spent over a few screen shots.

Roders5 said:Ok, don't get your knickers in a twist, I'm not having a go at anybody. I'm sure everybody has been burned in the past by good graphics bad gameplay.
And resorting to highlighting the fact I'm a 'junior member' is pretty lame, I could have been reading these pages a lot longer than yourself.
Is there a review for PSP King Kong anywhere? The game should be out by now, correct? Are you saying that PSP version sucks ass or that the game sucks ass in general?XVI said:Both King Kong and POP:Revelations sucked ass.
Yeah, they are clearly higher resolution...but I think that's just your typical pre-release "doctored screenshot" thing here. That last shot especially screams PSP. Just take a look at that "box" behind Sam. You wouldn't find a texture like that on XBOX...dose said:I know the pics are blurred, but those images look too high res. I dunno about KK, but PoP was quite impressive on PSP. It managed to capture the visuals of the console game very well and play just right. The problem is, the game was buggy as all hell. However, in that case, the original version was ALSO extremely buggy. Basically, they ported a buggy game to the system in a fairly short period of time. No suprising that it still had issues. Both King Kong and POP:Revelations sucked ass.
Ubisoft reveals the first information concerning Tom Clancy' S: Splinter Cell Essentials planned for this year on PSP. It would act thus of a new episode of the series, and not of a simple remake, which will propose to us to include/understand the origins of the Fisher agent, and will make by the same occasion light on certain hidden aspects of next Tom Clancy' S Splinter Cell: Double Agent envisaged on consoles of living room. Dimensioned gameplay, one will find the indicators of visibility and noise relative to Sam Fisher, but also a new optimized gauge indicating to the hero the noises that make the enemies in the neighbourhoods, a very interesting functionality which was added to make it possible to the player to play under good conditions with its portable console even if sound quality is degraded. The player will have to also know to manage the physical state of Sam Fisher, it will be necessary for him indeed well to proportion his movements and to superimpose two sights to obtain a precise shooting, thing which appears more difficult when our hero is wounded. The only black spot of the play would be the system of camera which is announced for the moment like completely manual. Tom Clancy' S: Splinter Cell Essentials should propose several multijoueurs modes of which a mode 'One vs one' in Wi-Fi. To follow.
