Personally I hated Rah-Xephon, and I love Evangelion more so than I do Gundam. Perhaps thats why, it felt like a rehash of a rehash of a rehash, it just did nothing for me and bored me to tears. If you don't like it by now Gibbo, I think you should just drop it as it's just more of the same.

I quite like Eureka 7 bizarrely enough, it has more character than Rah-Xephon had in its entirety in it's first 5 episodes IMO. Apart from this, Speed Grapher and Ichigo %100, I don't think this season has been particulary strong.
 
I personally loved RahXephon, mostly because of the character interaction, not the battles. I haven't seen all of Eva either, so I wasn't biased like most people. :P

Actual DVD of first Karas OVA only came out this weekend in Japan, I think anime-kraze said they're waiting for proper DVDrip for their release...so I guess we should be expecting it soon.
 
I'm done with Speed Grapher. It is just too trashy, the animation blows, and the theme creeps me out. No thanks.

Eureka is awesome though. :)
 
Maison Ikkoku

reading the manga now on Volume 2

they can end the manga on volume 3 why do they need 9 volumes?
They like each other but wont admit it for another 7 volumes! >_<

Of course, countless romantic comedies are like that. Maison Ikkoku was just one of the first/best/pioneers of it. :P
 
Most romantic comedies are like that but Maison Ikkoku does it very well and for a very valid reason. It comes down to plausibility. If you understand the circumstances behind Kyoko then you know why it had to go on for longer.
 
Finished reading Maison Ikkoku, it was awesome one of the very best mangas I read, without GAF I would have missed out on it.


Speed Grapher 7 is out and its freaking me the hell out just 3 mins in

WTF!!! I hate that shit OMG
 
I prefer Maison Ikkoku anime than the manga, though I haven't finished reading about 2 volumes of the manga yet.

One of my favourite anime series.

I would reccomend Death Note--it's more mystery/crime and puzzle solving, but I think it's really well written...

But since I know you're more into romance: Have you tried Full Moon wo Sagashite? Both the anime and manga are pretty good.

non-romance stuff I can stomach are Naruto, Beck, Bleach, Gantz...

Still have not tried One Piece, I should that would waste some good amount of anime time

my harddrive stays around 2gb so I delete as I download... I need a new HD before I can read other stuff like Death Note, I hate deleting good stuff
 
have you tried full metal alchemist? I have a friend that doesn't really like most anime, only thing he really likes is naruto. He can stomach stuff like inuyasha and trigun but not for extender periods of time. But watched FMA to the end by himself and thought it was pretty good.


Its not romance at all obviously, I'm just going by ur list of stuff u can stomach.

I always thought it was part of the comedy, but they are really... all 3 of them O_o ?!?
 
Onegai Teacher & Onegai Twins both fall in the romance category too.
And the lovely Kikuko Inoue voices Mizuho in Onegai Teacher so cant go wrong with that one. :)
Be sure to watch Teacher first since Twins is a sequel/spinoff of Teacher.
 
- Honey and Clover 6 was great. This show is an instant classic!
- Major 17 was good as usual
- Karas just got subbed and I can't wait to watch it :D
 
Karas finally subbed. In case you forgot this is the anime (OAV?) that I deliberately stopped watching the RAW of because it looked too good to miss the story on. :) It's on I love anime.com.
 
I liked the first episode of karas, but I had no idea what the hell was going on.

And anyone that says they understood karas is lying. Its simple not possible to understand that.
 
I'm not downloading that after these reviews... where is my Eureka 7 dammit

I'm so many raw eps ahead, I want to understand what they have said this stuff pisses me off so much that learn Japanese is my only option
 
I went the whole weekend without some fansubs

what is going on with these groups?

downloading Eureka 8 and 9 Raw :(

so far this will be my 4th raw viewing for this show for weeks now
 
Ok, Karas was a sentai to me. :( When I watched the raw I just watched to when the guy up on the roof said some awesome stuff, he just sounded soo evil. :P Well, I didn't really care for the ep, nice fights, everything else = whatdog.
 
anyone disapointed by Bleach's Soul Society arc ending ?
i hope Rukia manages to regain her shinigami powers, trains to become vice-captain and come back to the living world quickly. Bleach is about Ichigo/Rukia duo for me.

Why do they do this to such a cool show?

After watching ep 9 I love this show even more I like where its taking me :)
I can't wait to understand better what I just saw WOW :D
 
I'm a little upset by the slow release of Eureka Seven too. I generally don't mind waiting, but they're something like 7 or 8 episodes behind.

I guess it's a good time to check out some older shows.
 
where have all the fansubs gone anyway? It seems like its bee a couple weeks now since I got a new trinity blood or basilisk.
