Obscure. Kikokugai is the only one I've ever heard anything about.Articalys said:I saw the list in the "English translated VN" topic. Saya no Uta excepted, how obscure are these games on the obscure-o-meter?
airmangataosenai said:For those of you who don't know by the way, Saya no Uta is pornographic. The overall story may be interesting but uh..... if you buy it don't leave it laying around
I thought you'd be more interested in Nitro+ Chiral's titles!Shintoki said:When, Where, And How?!
It is JastUSA's releases and titles in order are Saya no Uta, Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer, Hanachirasu, Sumaga/Star Mine Girl, and Zoku Satsuriku no Django -Jigoku no Shoukinkubi-.Miri said:If this is a Jast heap, and the one behind Saya no Uta is what I think it is(but forgot the name of), then hooraay! If not, forget I ever posted this.

I'm pretty sure the porn aspect of Saya no Uta is the least of your worries if you leave the game around for someone else to see lol.airmangataosenai said:For those of you who don't know by the way, Saya no Uta is pornographic. I see, so it's just five titles that are presently convenient to release translated versions of in the western market. And I guess their audience is mostly people like you who are really really into visual novels and already knew about the games.InfiniteNine said:They all have translations that can be bought off someone. Sumaga's patch isn't public, and Django is a surprise since there was never a public project for that.

Saya is already bought.

Terrible. Fucking atrocious character designs. All hype completely deflated.

So MC in Durarara went from being terrified of the city to hanging out in dark alleys with shady looking dudes in only four episodes? Now that's character development. Also, Celty is fucking adorable.
airmangataosenai said:Why would you be excited about it though? What I remember of the last Blood series, that was pretty awful too.
Yup. Arguably the only good thing about it.Lain said:I don't care what anyone says, Menma was the best thing about this anime, and she was so from the first episode for me.
Old trailer. Ollllld. Etc.Dresden said:

I don't know if I'm actually supposed to write something here.
I was doing pretty good up until the halfway point, and even for about ten or so minutes after that, and then I remember the events that made up the rest of the film but I think I'm still processing what happened. I'll get back to you in a day or two.
Still, it's not the biggest "what the fuck just happened" reaction I've had to something.
I did decide that TV episodes 25 and 26 should be voided canonically, at least -- or as much as you can do that given how messed up the Evangelion series is overall.
Now to decide how much buffer time to schedule before I watch Rebuild.
The one true reaction to this arc!Defuser said:
Yep, just start with this new "season". And you'll get to jump in at what people seem to think is the best arc of the series.Defuser said:Once it a while there will some serious arcs but most of the time it's self contained from 1 to 2 episodes so it make it easy for people to jump in anytime. You can start from the beginning of gintama' 2011 which is episode 202.
duckroll said:Haha, Nichijou is megabomba. Blu-rays didn't even remotely chart anywhere on the anime blu-ray charts, and the DVDs sold something totally pathetic like 900 copies or something. See, it's not just internet apathy. It's true that NO ONE likes this show!
Just no.Articalys said:I did decide that TV episodes 25 and 26 should be voided canonically, at least -- or as much as you can do that given how messed up the Evangelion series is overall.
Defuser said:I never seen Kyoani ever done a original IP before. Quite sad cause they're talented.
airmangataosenai said:I hope you like K-On Duckroll. You're gonna be seeing a lot more of it now.
K-ON is much better than Nichijou.airmangataosenai said:I hope you like K-On Duckroll. You're gonna be seeing a lot more of it now.
I'll allow you the first half of episode 25 and the last few minutes of episode 26, but that's as far as I'm willing to compromise.firehawk12 said:Just no.
Certainly they're no Bones!duckroll said:I don't like Kyoto Animation at all in general. Lol.
I just prefer the abstract ending to the fairly literal one that we see in EoE. It's a rare case where running out of money forced them to be more creative than they would have been otherwise.Articalys said:I'll allow you the first half of episode 25 and the last few minutes of episode 26, but that's as far as I'm willing to compromise.
This is all based solely on plot (or what exists of it), though -- thematically, they fit right in with the rest of the series.
Even as someone who finds it rather enjoyable I couldn't imagine rewatching any of the episodes.duckroll said:Haha, Nichijou is megabomba. Haha, I never got around to playing Saya no Uta when everyone was playing it months ago, so I guess I'll just have to grab it when it gets officially released here~InfiniteNine said:AnimeGAF's favorite VN is getting released in the US along with some other titles!
The animation looks pretty nice when it's not encased in squares, show of the forever incoming!7Th said:New IM@S TV spot; nothing new in it, but at least the animation isn't encased in silly colorful squares anymore.
More Haruhi would be nice.duckroll said:Haha, Nichijou is megabomba. Blu-rays didn't even remotely chart anywhere on the anime blu-ray charts, and the DVDs sold something totally pathetic like 900 copies or something. See, it's not just internet apathy. It's true that NO ONE likes this show!
airmangataosenai said:Also, I should probably clarify that it's not about seeing more of Nichijou, it's about seeing something new from KyoAni in general. It was an interesting change of pace for them and now they'll probably be running back to past successes. So if you're really jonesing for more Haruhi and K-On then this is awesome news, if not it kinda sucks.
