Unlikely, given the tech at play. XSX and PS5 couldn't run it without major cuts to the systems that make the game remotely interesting.
We already have other typical PC games on console, like MSFS2020. I think it'd be ok. Not everyone has ultra-high-end PCs either. And a port would most likely be for PS6, no?Unlikely, given the tech at play. XSX and PS5 couldn't run it without major cuts to the systems that make the game remotely interesting.
Star Citizen's systems require a heck of a lot more than MSF2020. For as much shit as is thrown at the game, it is actually trying to do quite a lot. And the current console CPUs just aren't going to cut it as it stands. A PS6 port might happen, sure, but Moore's Law has ended - the jump from PS5 to PS6 isn't going to be particularly large, so I'd wager it'll still have to be pared back.... Most of the important stuff like persistence and meshing is baked into the back end for SC, not sure how much of that is needed for SQ42 anyway. But yeah, perhaps you're right. The engine is heavily dependent on tech outside the cloud as well, and my "old" 5950x is struggling at times.. I guess we'll see what happens. This is exactly what the next grift will be.So is this just so they can delay a couple of more years? We want to release the pc and console port at the same time, so we are delaying the game for 3 more years, please understand.
I don't think console gamers are dumb enough to fall for the same scam.But.but it's the biggest scam in gaming history, and it will never be released.... now they will buy the game and support it with their money.
Lol
lol yeah, and they are just posting a job listing for consoles. So is this just so they can delay a couple of more years? We want to release the pc and console port at the same time, so we are delaying the game for 3 more years, please understand.
Watch console gamers buying Squadron 42 when it releases on PS5/Xbox or the next gen consoles. right now it's the biggest scam in gaming history!I don't think console gamers are that dumb.
They are dump enough to pay for 30fps, patches and online play but not this??I don't think console gamers are dumb enough to fall for the same scam.
i mean unlike sq42, all of those stuff actually exist. They are dump enough to pay for 30fps, patches and online play but not this??
To clarify, the SC Kickstarter is inactive. The two games, SC and SQ42, are being crowdfunded via the RSI website.keep kickstarter going
Let's hope so. Wanting the best version of something is fine, desperately trying to keep others from having anything at all is not. I have a high-end PC and thousands of dollars worth of simulation gear, but I'd still love to see MSFS2020 on PS5 (f.ex.).Oof the Elitists would hate it
Star Citizen exists too. And you can only pay for it. Not for SQ42.i mean unlike sq42, all of those stuff actually exist.
You're right, I played Star Citizen for three hours last night. Did seven missions successively, dogfights, on-foot missions... Traversal down to- and from, between planets, stations, calling in ships, storing, reviving, server-meshing, persistence... No hiccups, it's pretty damn fantastic considering the history of this project.Star Citizen exists too. And you can only pay for it. Not for SQ42.
Good news. I will try again. No hiccups
Good news. I will try again.
Ehh... they already pay just to play online and backup their saves to the cloud. Not to mention rebuying games to get higher resolutions and frame rates.I don't think console gamers are dumb enough to fall for the same scam.
