NO. Not until Versus. Even then it's still just a tech demo, it won't happen.
They said it took them like a year or something just to make that tech demo video to begin with... didn't they?
FFVI HD remake and DQVIII I'd love to have on my Vita far more than on my 3DS. Besides, if it is HD, it can't be on the 3DS.

That time probably included a lot of experimentation etc. And I'm gonna guess it was a small team. Once they get the right workflow it should be much faster.
they will probably show the same Agni's Philosophy demo we have seen number of times already.

I'd bet a week ban that they'll show Versus/XV and tease the true next-gen FF, FFXVI, (directed by Hiroyuki Itou).

With all the resources they've put into FF XIV, I doubt they're even at the beginning stages of conceiving FF XVI.

With 1.5 coming out after? No. I expect a TGS announcement for 2.5 then an early 2014 release in Japan. If SE isn't stupid we'll get it localized faster than 1.5.
There is no separate event. The OP read into SE hyping up their E3 booth too much.
