You have to go to the ustream to DL the hanger?
naw, the ustream is just where they announced it lol
download from here:
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/hangar-module
PATCHER DOWNLOADED, I GOT AUTHORIZED. NOW DOWNLOADING 3GB PATCH
Star Citizen and Squadron 42 will feature a full orchestral score.
They give you cash money to download the Hanger Module too. 5000 credits which is 2.5 the money I had before
File access is not authorized
You don't even have to actually download the module. It authorizes as soon as you download the launcher.I did not know that. I was just going to skip this, but I guess I am going to have to download now.
The premium hangar looks so much better than the business hangar, although I feel that having multiple ships plays a part too. Anyone have screens of the basic hangar?
The closed off first floor of the business hangar is the worst of the lot.
Yea. It is completely enclosed in the business hangar and you can only see through tinted glass which obscures the view too much.First floor? You mean the balcony / observation deck?

Though from the images so far seen, I wish I could downgrade from business to discount, so much cozier and I prefer the rough look. Business and Deluxe is too sterile and posh for me.
Ladies and gents, we have a hangar hipster in here.
I can't live my Firefly dreams sitting in a hangar that look like the inside of a Imperial Star Destroyer.
Lights cost money.
But hey, it feels more like OT Star Wars as opposed to the PT Star Wars of the premium hangar. Yeah, take that, suckers!
It seems to be working now. A few friends and I were having issues for the past few hours but now all of us managed to get in just fine and on the first attempt. Try it out if you've been having trouble.
Are people still able to buy and gift ships along with their lifetime insurance? Or has that been removed?
The ingame store is up where you can buy hangar customization items and the buggy for ingame credits - https://robertsspaceindustries.com/voyager-direct
The buggy costs 20,000 credits - https://robertsspaceindustries.com/store/261-greycat-ptv
They are also selling credits for real world money at the rate of $1 for 1000 credits - https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/central-core-bank
This means the buggy costs $20 (or $13 since everyone probably has 7000 credits already). Weapons cost 8000-12000 credits. Official forums in uproar over the pricing.
Here's the official update - https://robertsspaceindustries.com/...etter-From-The-Chairman-Hangar-Store-Launched
The pricing does seem a bit insane, to be honest, considering we're supposed to be "testing" stuff out. I know everything you buy will be there in the final game for you to sell, exchange, etc. But still. 20$ for the buggy? The hell.
Guys, if I could make a suggestion.
Consolidate discussion to this new thread in gaming http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=665089
That way we can keep it bumped and spread the word about the game. No point in bumping a community thread except for those that are subscribed.
Plus, Mr. Big did a great job on the OP and it gives updated and relevant information to people.
I can help you with that. It may have to wait until Sunday though. I just flipped a package so I can't melt it for 24 hours. Are people still able to buy and gift ships along with their lifetime insurance? Or has that been removed?
AFTER you've bought The Lamp, of course. Otherwise, perfectly understandable.Yeah I am gonna avoid that store.

Yeah, I noticed that. Protest by upgrading to the deluxe hangar.
By the by, for those of us with DX10 cards, a user on the SC forums has gotten the Hangar module to work using the Windows Advanced Rasterization Project which should be part of Windows/DirectX if you've installed this Platform Update - which should have already happened if you're running Windows Update every now and then as it also fixes some bugs and whatnot. Windows 7/8 only, I'm afraid.
Next you need to get the Crysis 3 SDK files. You can get them over here for free and without registration or any other shenanigans. It's a zipfile, too, so no need to install stuff, just open it in WinRAR or 7zip or whatever.
Now copy the following two files:
from the "Engine" subfolder of the SDK into the folder (installation location)\StarCitizen\CitizenClient\Engine.Code:ShaderCacheStartup.pak ShadersBin.pak
Be careful not to overwrite any files, they shouldn't be there. If you get a warning about an already existing file something has changed and you better stop right there.
Keep in mind this is in no way, shape, or form supported or endorsed by CGI and may or may not work depending on your hardware.
Also, don't expect amazing performance or anything.
It works, I can play around in my Hangar on my ancient Ati 4850 with 512 MB RAM, which is way outside the official specs.
Proof:
The framerate is horrible, maybe 10-20 fps, but who the fuck cares. Above was taken at 1080p and low quality preset.
Edit: Fiddling around with the settings for a bit, at 720p and on Medium (not the default low) quality settings it's serviceable. The framerate is still nowhere near perfect, but it's good enough to explore the Hangar in earnest.
