It can be. Bridge Crew was surprisingly good for VR, especially with the TNG expansion and a few folk eager role play. Later updated to work without VR, not quite as immersive using a controller over working the stations yourself with motion controllers tho

I was thinking the same thing when I saw it. If you're going to do the 'Star Trek survival horror' thing, the Borg are genuinely terrifying and constructing a game around you having to save your ship from being assimilated, or having to board a Borg ship with an away team because the captain got captured.... seems like the obvious way to go about it. I mean, within Trek lore what could possibly be more terrifying that having to walk through a Borg ship and encountering those menaces?! Call it Star Trek Invasion or Star Trek Resistance is futile.
