I wish your force regenerated a hell of a lot faster. You barely even have enough to do a couple strong attacks before you're out.
There's a move that lets you block blaster fire automatically while dashing. It sounds not that powerful, but it basically just lets you sprint right at any ranged storm trooper and they're helpless as you close the distance. With the stutters I'm still experiencing, it makes it impossible to plan on Grandmaster level. Still got a couple cheap deaths on master too. But the combat feels pretty badass once you get the parry timing dialed in. Looking forward to unlocking the saber throw eventually, to get SOMETHING remotely ranged. Having played so many shooters, it feels weird to have absolutely NO ranged attack available. I find myself at times wishing I could yell at stormtroopers in the distance to get them to shoot at me so that I can take them out of the equation prior to engaging nearby melee enemies. Story is pretty interesting so far. But have to imagine you find out later on that thehave already beenforce sensitive younglings.have already been dealt with by Vader or something..

Am I supposed to know how to fix a Scomp Link early on or does that come later?
Thanks mateNo, it's an upgrade later
I was cruising along then hit a game-halting bug, unfortunately. Without spoiling anything, some context-related thing I am supposed to press R3 on never appears for me. I watching some videos and see where it is supposed to occur, it just won't for me. I tried my earliest save but it's busted too.
So I guess I either need to wait for a patch or start over.
Aside from that it's an OK game. It needs some polish,
and the Tomb Raiders
The wall running is straight Prince of Persia
This review tells it how the game REALLY is...out of the hype train just because it is a star wars game, whatever atmosphere and story it brings:

anyone finished? just curious how long it is?
how long to beat says between 13-23 hours but not sure it's reliable yet.
Haven't tried it yet, didn't have had enough time but judging from the videos... am I the only one who thinks the main character looks like an insufferable twat?
He’s alright. Funny sometimes but sure is not a bad character or a lame one which is a good thingHaven't tried it yet, didn't have had enough time but judging from the videos... am I the only one who thinks the main character looks like an insufferable twat?
This is going to sound petty [it is], but one of the biggest things I dislike about this game is Cal's actor. He's bad, and he looks like a putz. And he's a ginger. *shudder*
It’s fun, but starting to drag. About 8 hours in. I’m really not a graphics guy at all, but I’m surprised at how janky it is. Too many uncharted moments for me too.
The HDR in this game is trash. I have no patience for shitty HDR implementation to get a box ticked for advertising. It’s like when Red Dead 2 came out. There is no option to set the white/black levels independently, so if you brighten the image you get better highlights but then you wash out the shadows. And due to there being no toggle for HDR in games on Xbox, I have to turn this shit off on a system level every time I want to play. Get your shit together Respawn.
Comments like that a huge turn off in the gm for me..becoming a borefest, repetitious?
No, I wouldn’t go that far. But....it is what it is. A sort of AAA medley of gaming tropes. I’ve also lowered the difficulty because I can’t be arsed with the combat anymore as I don’t actually think it’s that good.
Depends how much you like Star Wars.
7/10.
I'm about 6-7 hours in, and it had picked up a bit for me, but kind of fell off again. I'm just not having much fun with the combat. I can't quite put my finger on it, but enemy attacks just feel kind of cheap. They'll start in one direction, and I'll dodge or roll out of the way, and they'll kind of slide mid-animation and still connect. The timing of it all just seems awkward. I may just drop it to Story difficulty, as I'm here more for the Star Wars story, sights and sounds, and don't really care to fiddle with the fighting system much longer. I also don't care to have my foibles in combat result in sending me back to a save point that I might have found 10 minutes ago. That's just not for me, nor is retracing my steps back to the ship with respawned enemies after I've completed an objective (though shortcuts help with this).
I'm also seeing spots where the graphics are downright ugly, plus I'm getting frame drops out of nowhere for some reason. Also, I'm getting kind of tired of Greev complaining about his life being in danger on these planets while he and Cere sit comfortably in the safety of the Mantis the entire time, lol .
Don't get me wrong, it's really not a bad game at all, I'm just finding my annoyances with it might be too much to overcome.
quick question: should i get it on a launch ps4 or launch xbox one.. how does it run on either console?
If those are your only choices, you'll get the better performance on the base PS4. The game runs awful on Xbox One/One S. Resolution drops down to 540p at times and can't maintain a stable framerate to save its life. Any degree of skill is wiped away with the frame drops ruining timing. Facing an enemy 1v1 it's generally OK. 1v2, you start to see some chop. 1v3 or more, it turns into a slog, at best, or a slideshow, at worst, depending on enemy type and area (worse in outdoor environs with higher draw distance, nominally better in indoor enclosed areas).
The PS4 has issues as well but not as many as the Xbox One/One S.
