For what its worth I was visiting my friend who is pretty far up the food chain at Gamestop and he said the preorders for this game were "disastrously low"

I wonder how much of an effect Ubisoft+ is having on preorder numbers. I know that, personally, I see no reason to preorder a Ubisoft single player game ever again so long as they keep pushing this "day one on Ubisoft+" stuff.
Why would I ever spend $70 to $130 on a 40-60 hour single player game again when I can iust wait for reviews and then try it myself for $18? If I like it, I can finish it and unsub; if I don't like it, I can go play something else for the month then unsub.

Yeah. That is the thing about Ubisoft games. The price drops like a rock.
They seem to be totally fine with that. I think they realize they can sell a lot more when it is cheap.

People that say they won't buy it till it's on Steam, what is the reasoning? It runs through Uplay no matter where you buy it.

I hope they dirty up her a bit in the final game. What I really liked about Jedi Survivor is how many of his clothes were dirty and looked like they had been used for quite some time in rough conditions. I remember one shirt that I didn't want to use because it was actually too smudgy looking, but looked like it would fit the location and lifestyle of Koboh.

Yup this is exactly what I planned to do or just wait like a month for the game to be like $15-$20. Ubisoft games usually get deep discounts like a month out from release and with the holidays being around the corner I wouldn't be surprised if this game is like $20 on PC during Black Friday.

True. Sony, Rockstar, EA etc follow that strategy to stay in line with demand post release, their goal is to get you to buy the game inevitably, not merely just day 1. Even something as massive as GTAVI, I can almost guarantee they'll put on sale for Black Friday even if it released like weeks prior lol
So with the cost of games, they need a strategy that isn't merely just day 1, day 1, day 1 etc. They need to market to you day 1, weeks later on sale, weeks after that with the DLC and the finally the complete edition or something a year after release.

I'm buying both Star Wars Outlaws and AC Shadows day 1 and I got them both from Target cause they have a steelbook edition, but if not there, I'd buy it from Amazon, if not there Best Buy, if not there, Wal Mart, if not there Ebay Secondhand, if not there, then Facebook Marketplace, if not there panhandling on the dirtiest streets of Fort Lauderdale....do you see just how much places I'm willing to buy this besides Gamestop? lol

I haven't really played their games on PC in generations, last PC game of theirs I recall playing was Far Cry 2.
The only way I'd get anything they put out on PC, is one of them codes like you lol

The problem regarding the modern Star Wars with Disney/Lucas Films. They are trying too hard to get a new audience. They have alienated their current fans by trying to attract new ones. They feel by adding new strong female characters. Women will start to jump for Star Wars. Some women just do not care for space drama. I liked Ashoka TV show, but The Acolyte just looks horrible. I will be playing Outlaws at sometime, but not anytime soon. I am still playing Jedi Survivor.
