Well, you got one very specific example about the danger of being catched off-guard by a 2-gate, and one where you could actually repell it by having enough units. I almows believed I screw the second game up biiig time. Switching to mass stalkers was the right solution after all. Dunno why I sacrificed that Warp Prism, wanted to harass a bit with that.

So after swapping parts around incl. HDD and memory I have absolutely no idea what the problem is. Have reinstalled SC2 to no avail. At least I got a new HDD out of thinking my PC was goosed :lol

I grabbed the Mafia II demo the other day which runs at a solid 60fps max'd (no physx as I have an ATI card) but my PC seemingly can't handle SC2 since last weekend. Great.

If you're getting stupid 'memory pool for your GPU has run out" messages, it's the game's / Blizzard's fault. Beta ran fine for me, but I can't play the retail version more than 30 - 45 minutes before the game slows down to, oh I don't know, 1 frame per second with the exact same settings. Lowering 'em doesn't help either.

I also have an ATi card, so our best bet is waiting 'til they finally patch it.

I'm not getting any sort of error messages but the game does get worse the longer I play. Hmm :/
