Stargate SG-1: Unleashed Announcement Trailer

Stargate Unleashed is been developed by Arkalis Interactive who developed and released the Stargate SG1 app Stargate Command earlier this year called for apple devices.

Stargate Unleashed like Stargate Command will be an official Stargate game as MGM the owners of the Stargate license are backing the game.

At present there is no information about what the game is about or what platform it is on, but it is likely that the game will be on mobile devices as Arkalis is a mobile game development house.

I like the show a lot (I own all seasons on DVD), but I'm not sure about a video game... will we be walking through Canadian forests most of the time ? ;)
 
Well, there was that SGC app that was released a few months ago and people thought it would be a teaser for another game... I guess this is it.

I suppose this is the best they can do with the franchise nowadays.

I was crying tears of joy until it was an adventure game on iOS/Android. I'm still crying but for a different reason.

What's with the huge lighted area in the middle of the US. At first I thought maybe lots of stuff was built around the Stargate, but Cheyenne Mountain is more west no?

Maybe that's where they moved Atlantis? Whatever happened with that after the series finale, do we know?

In the post series movie, it would have been sent back to the Pegasus galaxy, but since that movie was cancelled...

I know we want it to be a full fledged action game, but hopefully it is good and enough people buy it for MGM to fund more Stargate games.

Now that their bankruptcy shit is settled, I hope they get the Stargate franchise back on track.

Just put it into my veins!!!!! Seriously, I fucking love me some Stargate. It's such a rich and vast universe that would be perfect for the game industry.
 
What games have they done before, are there hopes for the writing being on par with the show (so, not great, but fun shit)? Not that this would make it a must buy. A Stargate game would be fun to go explore those worlds and own those enemies action like or stealth like where appropriate yourself, not for the literature and some puzzle solving...

Also, hyping everyone with that CG (hello uncanny valley, but pretty good) when in game will look nothing like that...

However I already don't like the story setup. Fans has been watching until the very end two years ago, and other people don't want to return to a mid-90's sci-fi story plot.
