The leaked Digimon game got me really excited, rumours for years have been saying BAMCO was invsting in an AAA Digimon Story game after the success of the low-budget Cybersleuth(it was a vita game)

It can be finally the AAA pokemon game we all wanted. It was announced to be in development in december 2017, so more than 7 years in development, this can be really special

I think they could be expected to do a showcase. They did one in 2023 (poorly) and none in 2024.

Annual sized shows seems to be the expectation from a lot of people complaining. I didn't address the complaint at you specifically either so you can stop with the pearl-clutching.

The REALISTIC view is maybe 1 major new announcement per show, because SOP's are quarterly and primarily focussed on short-term reveals - typically the biggest titles coming up in the quarter after the one the show is situated in. Titles out imminently tend not to be featured because they will be being independently marketed.

Yes, they sometimes juice things up with the occasional long-term reveal but for obvious reasons these are relatively uncommon.

Obviously events labelled as showcases are different, but as this topic (and my post) were about SOP's specifically... And ffs what is a showcase but an E3 keynote event delivered digitally? You just incriminated yourself of the very thing you're complaining that I claimed you were guilty of!
