Tonight, President Barack Obama will make his final State of the Union address before both houses of Congress.

Obama, when first elected was a man of many promises. Some kept, some broken, some compromised. But gosh-durn it if he didn't try.

EDIT: B-Dubs made this helpful visual guide to explain everyone who's going to be here tonight. Some notable political figures, some average citizens - all Americans.

I read that he won't ask Congress to enact any policies and instead will talk about himself. What does that mean?

I have grown so skeptical about these addresses I dont even watch them anymore. I remember a couple of years ago he said he will do this and he will do that and he did nothing. Of course the congress wasnt going to pass anything but then why get our hopes up?

Whats the point of this address? To make even more promises he cant keep?

Since this is his last, Obama won't be talking much about future initiatives or anything like that, but more about the progress we've made in the past 7 years.

Also while Congress has been hopelessly gridlocked Obama has taken a number of executive actions on equal pay, immigration, climate change, gun control etc. that shouldn't be ignored.

Compromised why too much and was not as progressive as I wanted him to be. However, he was cool and charming with a lot of charisma, so that's something.

I'm hoping he goes all out for his final State of Union.

I'm gonna miss that dude. I hope he keeps popping up and kicking around in public life for a good long time. He's too cool for school.
He is a great leader and a perfect moral compass for the nation and the world.

I find the opposition to him childish and laughable.

Being a good compromiser is one of the things the president has to excel at.

I'm always interested to hear the final SOTU addresses. Can they set up the party for success in the next election? What will they accomplish (or try to accomplish) while they are on the way out and everyone is focusing on the election?

I'm excited!

Can't wait to hear why Obama waited 7 years before he decided to take action on repealing the 2nd amendment.

Final State of the Union address? More like Imperial Coronation Ceremony!

The Republicans warned us and we didn't listen.

Obama helped me out, so he will be sorely missed. He's done bad but also a lot of good too. Never ignore all his accomplishments.

Personally and eternally grateful to him.

He has a great moral compass and I respect his intent to do good, but he was not a great leader.

It's not like he didn't try. It's hard to accomplish things when you have a congress populated by people who have actually said they will go against anything the president does...

Oh also, Paul Ryan will be sitting next to Biden this time. Oh to be a fly on that wall...

I opened the youtube stream. Some dudes were rapping. A guy is going around asking people questions in a gameshow fashion. Feels like goty awards.

Obama is awesome, he mentioned "a new PlayStation" right around the time of PS4's launch in November 2013.

Maybe's he's aware of PS5's development, too.

Give PlayStation a final shout out, Mr. President! (Greatness Awaits)

:)
