Great news!.

I venture over to the Asylum from time to time to keep check on the situation, I see myself as an alien lifeform monitoring silently from afar. It isn't pretty, unchecked lunacy and group think appear to be the order of the day. Thankfully Gaf is going strong, the one thing I will do my best to do is to argue/debate others with differing opinions in a civil way, in fact I will encourage people to question my beliefs, that's how this place differs from there. Open, frank and healthy debate will win out.

Anecdotal posts suggest most Reehabs* are here because the are fed up with the place and it's totalitarian hypocrisy. Getting booted from there is a sign that you are actually NORMAL.

Late to the party but I'd like to say I'm happy the forum is growing steadily with a better impact.

I've been in GAF since 2009 and I've seen the slow downfall till the implosion in October 2017. I had my doubts on this implosion since it seemed exaggerated, nevertheless I joined also the other forum because the gaming community was there. Over time, I was irked more and more about the other forum due to the agenda pushing and lack of free talk, I started leaning more towards to GAF until now, I got permabanned from Era... for participating in cross forum drama... because I posted here (I didn't really post much in Era this year).

Anyway, I hope the JRPG community continues to grow. Glad to see familiar faces here and I hope more start to come back!

My activity is rather limited, i'm not that social as a person but i've been reading Neogaf since it's birth and it's really nice to see that all the hard work is paying off.

The biggest achievement that Neogaf has earned after the Big Incident and the cleanup is that it feels like a true Community that people can discuss, share opinions, at times disagree but still managing to feel like a safe place.

Over 300 members online on a July Tuesday evening. Almost 2K guests too.

I recall 200 members was broken sometime late last year. That's healthy growth. GAF was then some 10% of Era traffic. Now it's around 20%. I suggest gates are closed when it hits 60%.
