I've had no problems getting some codes, you just can't fuck around. If you're able to paste/type it into the window, there's just as easily someone else out there capable of doing it a fraction of a second faster. Don't underestimate the amount of people at the ready to go at this.

I then put all the blame on my shitty Malaysian ISP.

I've been meaning to ask, I'm torn between getting X-COM for the GMG or via Steam.

Reason being as cheap as it can get on GMG, I really want to customize my own soldiers. Do you guys think the discount you can get on GMG will make it much cheaper than the game on Steam + inevitable DLC?

Also, use a dedicated twitter program/add-on. The website is slooow.

Universal Access can be found under System Preferences
They post the Youtube video several minutes before the tweets and they're the same codes, which explains some of it. Managed to get one from the vid though. Thanks to Wario for the heads up this was even happening.

I'm actually not that mad that I didn't get Half-Minute Hero. I'd just have thrown it on my big backlog and wouldn't have played it until much later. So I'm glad someone who doesn't have 300+ games and is actually going to play it in a timely manner had the chance to get it.

...on the other hand I just know that 90% of the people who got it are in the same situation I am ;_;

According to its listing the game requires Steam anyway, so the real choice is whether you want the discount or whether you want Guile hair for TF2.

You want the discount. seriously look at that ugly mess

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
I usually don't take codes for games I'm not going to play any time soon or ever. It'd be nice if everyone operated like that.

Every time I look at the last code I got from a GAFfer (Adventures of Shuggy) I feel bad for not playing more. But I'm sick of those shitty time-based levels.

This makes me wonder what the protocol is for gifts sent out but left unclaimed.

Two of the games I "gave away" in this thread last week are still sitting in my inventory. I have no idea who the first person is. The other acknowledged the gift and thanked me (which I appreciate) so it's that much odder that they haven't redeemed it yet.

Guess I'll reach out to them on Sunday...

So for people who've played the Witcher series I've played 15 hours of the Witcher and while I like the game it's not really grabbing me, should I just skip to the Witcher 2? Don't really have that much time to game right now so is it worth sticking with the Witcher or should I just go on to the second one

I found Witcher 2 to be a lot more engaging right from the beginning, and you should be able to get into the story easily even if you haven't finished the first one.

I thought the original really dragged on before it got its hooks into me, but it didn't take 15 hours. Ended up being one of my favorite RPGs of all-time. I guess maybe it wasn't meant to be?

I'll just say that I was much more satisfied with the first than 2. It takes a while to get into but its quite the experience imo.

I think the game itself is good and was pretty into it up until that swamp part in Chapter 2, those plant things that come up out of the ground killed me so many times that running around the swamp just became frustrating.

I was gonna buy Half-Minute Hero but now that I missed a free code I dont feel like buying it, knowing I could have gotten it for free.

First mission I played in the swamp really ticked me off. When I came back at it the next day, I decided to avoid all combat unless absolutely required. Kept that attitude about the swamp the entire time. It really should be a combat light zone.

I feel somewhat bad that I got a free code. Especially since the folks at that Twitter account personally gave me two codes last night. One of which was stolen before I got the chance to redeem it. I may gift the game to someone though just to give them my money and support for Half Minute Hero 2.

U can get the Steam code from Humble Indie Bundle 2 or 3.

And if anybody wants to test this, it's a HiB6 code containing Wizorb, BIT.TRIP.RUNNER, Gratuitous Space Battles, and Jamestown.
