...are you familiar with the basics of Cybertron?
It's a robot city and all that. Doesn't stop me from disliking the game's art. For what it's worth, I think the sequel looks a lot better with regards to use of color.

They only remade the original and it is an amazing remake they modernizes the first game in the best way possible. It's up there with the REmake. TR2-5 was not remade and the only way to see that content is to play these releases, old school style.
Started and finished Walking Dead over the weekend.
Not really sure what to say without spoiling all of it, but I'm confused why this is being considered for GOTY. I enjoyed it, but I don't see what's so special about it.
I understand why people consider it GOTY, I just think they're terribly wrong, and it's a well-written bad game. There ain't much competition, specially on consoles, though.Started and finished Walking Dead over the weekend.

I'm enjoying the Walking Dead but now it won't recognise my saves since they released episode 5. Joy.

this is a mostly academic question, but is there actually any reason to buy those old tomb raider games if you already own the remakes? my understanding is that the remakes is are pretty faithful, and they have native 360 pad support and look better so... I guess I'm just not really seeing why you would buy the originals, particularly given the pricing.
then again I'm not a big TR guy or anything, so perhaps there's stuff about the originals which was streamlined out of existence in the remakes. what's the deal?
It did that to me between episode 3 and 4, couldn't find a way to fix it. The saves should still be there, it's a problem with the prefs file changing locations between the steamapps folder and my documents folder when they patch/add eps.
Haven't had the energy to start again.
Especially asMaking random choices means Doug lives longer instead of the jorno woman
Is there a reason why the US has a delayed unlock date for Far Cry 3?

finished Hitman: Absolution. Took me 23 hours on Hard and I enjoyed it and had fun.
unpopular opinions!

it's a pretty great game, it's just not a very good hitman game.
also your scores suck.
hey they totally dont
the levels on wich the score sucks are the ones that were really bad and I just wanted to get through
i'll play Far Cry once its out and then come back for Contracts mode
it's all relative salsa, and right now I'm shaming my entire friend list.
I think Razoric has you beat on some levels
also: imma start mark the ninja
I have Kings Bounty Armored Princess and the expansions. I've never played a Kings Bounty game before, which of the campaigns is best to start with?
- Armored Princess
- Champions of the Arena
- Defenders of the Crown
- Orcs on the March
lol you winAre you sure?
I was beating all your hitman scores Salsa and I was playing on Normal without the point bonus.
lol
loving mark the ninja as I knew I would, but why does the game stutters/chugs at times even tho the framerate supposedly stays at 60? it happens randomly and its somewhat annoying.
Runs fine for me. Maybe your 680 is dying.
No stuttering and chugging, even at 1440p. RMA your 680.
Definitely Gary Whitta's finest achievement.
I disagree, managing to work on a film with both Gary Oldman and Denzel Washington which still totally sucked deserves special credit
Or you could play it as Max Payne 4.Going back and forth with Hitman and Mark of the Ninja is pretty funny. The former can be so frustrating on Hard while Mark is pure joy. Every time I start Hitman I have to remind myself that the disguise system is a complete turd and that I have to play it as a "traditional" stealth game. Still on Part I.
Damn, Guardian of Light is always on sale somewhere. At this point I guess everyone has itGamersGate DD update:

whatevs dudes. This game to me was beat > come back
you'll be hearing from me again
So I finished Transformers: War for Cybertron last night in co-op with a friend and I have to recommend it here. It was 5$ on the last sale and it will probably be 5$ again on the upcoming Christmas sale. Here is why it blew me away:
-The co-op is great. The netcode was super solid and the scenarios are just a ton of fun to experience with a proper bro.
-The scale is spectacular. You travel through some massive areas without a single prerendered cutscene or load screen and the streaming is completely invisible (something that Quantum Conundrum completely failed at). The second to last level damn near brought a tear to my eye, but also made me bitter at Bioware from failing to match this space-based deliciousness in the Mass Effect series (also on UE3).
-The art is really consistent/pleasant. They keep the environments look fresh and varied and even though it is purely mechanical architecture, UE3 translates the style perfectly. They also make smart use of colorgrading.
-The gameplay also stays fresh and varied. The devs wisely mixed vehicle and ground combat in almost every level and the transition between the two feels really good. It's always a delight to drive or fly to some battle and drop out of the air while transitioning to the bipedal form.
-The writing and story is a lot of fun. Every possible robot-related pun is made and all the villains wear their hearts on their sleeves. I couldn't help but smile at everything Megatron/Star Scream said. Oh and each level starts with a little bit of text setting up the "episode." It's a great little touch that made each session feel like a weekly episode of the show.
Really the only issue we ran into was the final boss giving us a bit of trouble with certain attacks, but after a while we kinda perfected our method and nailed it. I feel pretty confident in saying we both had an incredible time with the game because we both agreed to play it again in co-op with a third friend who was asking if he should buy it haha.
