I think they're onto us.

That is... brilliant.

Why? Because of the difficulty in the swamp? World 5 is not easier.

I have some problems with the swamp. It's not the difficulty that bothers me. That I can handle. Starting with the background: compared to the earlier tracks it's not what I was expecting nor is it appreciated. Not memorable in the slightest and isn't the kind of track that's still good when repeated throughout the 22 levels.

Then there's the fog. Just why? What they have done here is amplifying the trial & error aspect of the game while taking away the amazing feeling when you just ride the flow so to speak. I'm not having much fun at the moment. You don't have to time react. Instead you die and think about what do you have to do differently next time.

Hmmm should I buy the yuri VN now or later...
I don't think it'll have any big discount in the future and the cards are probably worth a lot right now.

Both of these are fixed in the last world. It gets upbeat and clear again. If you enjoy the difficulty I think you'll like it more. The trial and error/memorization is still part of it though. I think the swamp fits well into the game and changes things up, but I can see where you're coming from.

Just beat your time on 4-7 by the way :p

Most of them are people who have access to discounted or free product (IE from MSDN or various enterprise licensing arrangements) illegally reselling the keys. It's very unlikely the keys would be revoked, but not impossible. I bought a Win7 Ultimate key from a service like this circa 2008 ("$40! What a deal!") and in about 2010 the key was revoked. Thankfully by that point I had access to keys for free through educational stuff, but still super annoying.

The office stuff is weird since AFAIK Microsoft doesn't give keys for free for it, at least not on dreamspark.

I have a corporate deal where I work.
I can get Office for 10$.

I'm guessing other big corporations employees probably have similar deals.

I'm about 4 hours into AsscreedFlag and goddammit they got me again. I went from not giving a shit for this game to finally enjoying a mission (the one where you climb from ship to ship freeing pirates. it just looked so good and played differently from everything else) to getting real excited about upgrading my ship.

Still, there are some things i can live without, like the tacked on far cry 3 hunting/crafting mechanics. After killing an ocelot by air assassinating it from a tree and shooting a scared iguana with my trusty pistol, i pretty much had enough of that bullshit. The hunting stuff made sense when i was a native american living out in the woods in AC3, bartering goods and stuff, and they handled it better with following trails and scents. Makes no damn sense as a pirate for me to need a great white shark's bone because i want more health. Even then, as soon as i came back to port I just bought the skins for the next 2 health upgrades from the weapons shop, so i sat there tying jaguar pelts and deer hides together so i can get almost max health. I dunno, it just seems like they were trying to find more uses for the hunting system from far cry 3, same way they added syncing viewpoints from asscreed to fc3 for some strange reason.

i guess they have me hooked for now, but with every game it seems like they're just barely getting me back in.

Also been playing Ys Oath, and while the game is fun some of these boss fights are straight up bullshit. There's one where you're fighting a dragon on a 2.5d plane and that shit is nonsense. The game has an option to lower the boss difficulty after a few tries and i have had no shame in ninja-dogging it because i'm finding that, even if i take 4-5 tries to figure out the enemy's pattern they tend to do enough damage that a few mistakes will easily put you back at the game over screen.

Just got to the mountains and i figure im about halfway through. Hope to have it wrapped up before the week is out.

I hope you like trailing missions.

nope, and when they've come up i've been real eager to give them 1 star at the end of the mission. I'm hoping that they are looking at that feedback because those have never been fun. Also, their stealth missions are terrible and always end with me murdering 20 people in a row before all is said and done.

Iced Tea? Heresy..

I went to the Philly Pizza Company and ordered some hot tea. The waitress said, "Well no, we only have it iced." So I jumped up on the table and shouted "ANARCHY!" And somebody played a Beach Boys song on the jukebox. It was California Dreaming. So I started screaming. On such a winter's day.

Also, goddamn it. Why?

How many 12- or 13-year-olds are world-weary? They've barely seen any of the world!

Even though I've only played Oath in Felghana and Seven, I don't find any non-Final boss in the Ys games to be BS, you just gotta memorize the pattern, don't rush in and then blitz them in their openings.

That makes sense since the price for it is higher so he's probably paying a similar amount.

That's by the Mamas & the Papas

I was hoping it'd stop after awhile, but they're probably over half of the main missions. If you're not trailing on land, you're trailing in the boat. So mentally prepare yourself for that.

wow the crew is currently at number 6 on steam top sellers. and so is a bunch of games that were not even in the top 20 a few days ago..

It would be pretty cool if cards were tied to achievements, instead of idling.

It would add incentive to play a game while strengthening the card market by reducing the supply and slowing the current plummet to $.08-ville.

Multiplayer-only games could focus effort into making desirable cards to lock behind certain achievements to boost playerbase.

Oh rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still. Oh lady moon shine down, a little people magic if you will.
Followed SteamGAF's advice and went with playing New Vegas. Really enjoying it thus far, but I do have a question; Can you screw up Quests by ignoring them for too long? Some games do that. I'm actually really enjoying just walking around and exploring the Mojave.

Haven't played Shovel Knight, but that track right there is dope as fuck.
Jake Kaufman ey, so no real suprise there. :D
I normally don't even like chiptunes but Kauf's works are an exception. It's got color and spirit, by lack of a better description.
