Well, Diretide did work, even if it was a giant pain in the ass. But Valve still has a couple days left in the month, so I wouldn't panic yet.

Apart from L4D2, which is mostly abandoned thanks to the rumored L4D3, Portal 2 online was always dead. There's no other games to update!

I do, and it works with a patch. If you want I can send you the files via pm, I probably have them somewhere even after uninstalling the game (or so I hope.)

Not really, because not all people are able to get every achievement (some involve missable collectibles, others require skills the person may not have) and Playfire counts on that. If suddenly everyone was able to get every single achievement that's part of the program, it'll probably be no good for them.

Trying to buy some Pinball FX2 DLC, I came up with a new idea for Enhanced Steam: highlighting the games you added to the cart in a different color, like red or something. It would be useful both in the game/DLC page and DLC list. No idea if I'm saying stupid stuff, and if I am I'm sorry!

If you have an Nvidia card you can use AA compatibility bits 0x000012C1 and get MSAA up and running easy peasy and if you have enough GPU power SGSSAA on top of that. You don't get better AA than that.

The ethics of committing fraud aside?

If you could factor in gamer skill levels so that every achievement for every game someone owns isn't unlocked, I suppose GMG wouldn't care. The reason it matters for GMG is because they are giving out store credit (in days before cheaters ruined it) by the bucket load. As Sub Zero noted, he knew people who would just use SAM every time a new game was added to the list and had earned hundreds of dollars in credit. This is what GMG wants to prevent and the reason achievements were weighted on skill/time in terms of value as well as why they were actively looking for and banning those who cheated.

So mathematically, if you removed a gamer's choice in which achievements would be unlocked (and they didn't care about actually *earning* the credit/achievement), then I think your answer is yes.

Not a bad idea, but in order to get this information I would have to grab and parse the /cart/ page on each page load. I could cache the information, but Enhanced Steam doesn't run at all during the checkout process so I would have no way of knowing that things left your cart after purchasing.

So... I'll look into it. I might not have a highlight but probably just a "shopping cart" icon where the price would be or something.

Of course, the new store layout is supposedly going to be doing this already, so I might not bother with it honestly.

On the bright side I can get as few jaggies as my resolution allows for with a relatively low downsampling resolution and still get good framerates.

On the dark side, text looks gross.

Oh man, after seeing the worst PC ports thread I expected much worse from Saints Row 2. I'm enjoying the game though and I get like 40 fps on everything high, enough for me. Guess still having my old GTS 250 is good lol. My CPU can't be that close to Xbox 360 clock speed (I have the i7-4790K)...

You're buying a gift copy, so yes. You could leave it sitting in your inventory for 10 years and you'd still get the incentives.
