GTA is similar to the first two Saint's Row games. I'm sure most people play open world, crime games the same way you do.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
So I just saw this article which has a list of 6 Early Access titles that haven't received any updates whatsoever in a while.
I understand people's frustration - even though the Early Access FAQs tell you to check to see how active the developers are before buying a game.
The one that really irks me is Dethroned! (a F2P title), which has ceased development completely but the "starter pack" DLC is still available. I know this gets brought up a bit in here, but what is everyone's thoughts on Early Access games like this? Do you think Valve has a responsibility to pull some of these games (like Detrhoned!)?

My gf is in a nurse anesthetist program and I'm having to work ~75 hours/week to keep above water and have a bit of funny money. They should simply be removed from the store. Ideally though the dev should be barred from using steam to sell anything again, no matter what other alias they may want to choose. Either that or have some sort of warning that displays their inactivity, although any system like that could be gamed quite easily I imagine.
I get that Early Access needs to be as open to devs as possible, highly experimental and mostly unregulated for that to happen, but there is a limit. I get the impression Valve might not be too sure where Early access should go and like to leave it for consumers to interpret and steer. People are wary of Early Access but, that is the way it probably should be. Over time though, without a little control, people may just give up entirely if there is too much insidious stuff or awful content. There probably needs to be a way to highlight the success of Early access and the devs responsible for future reference

I would take that GTA V rumor with a heavy grain of salt. Honestly, Rockstar dropping the ball that badly would be a surprise to me.
On a side note: Wrapped up The Wolf Among Us and it was absolutely fantastic... I actually found it a much more enjoyable experience overall in comparison to The Walking Dead, but I do think it's because the aesthetics of the game are more my style. However, if you're not into Telltale games and their rather superficial moral choice design, then the game is not for you. I enjoy it as an interactive narrative experience.

Thanks, but I'm merely curious about it now that MGS5 is coming to Steam. It's now what, 16 years old (the PSX release anyway), there's an entire generation of new gamers who may or may not have played it or the sequels. And another generation that have a lot of nostalgia for it.
Makes me wonder what kind of work would be involved in getting it to Steam with achievements and such.

For future reference, you can mark GOG and other service titles in the name of the game itself and ModBot's text will adjust to reflect it. For example:

I actually went into Steam to see if this was a shopped pic. Imagine my shock to find out it was all too real. Fellow consumers, what have we done?
