k back from a videogames museum thingie i visited. was pretty fun, got to play mario 1 on a giant nes controller and got to play the original xbox for the first time and find out it has no shoulder buttons for some reason. i meant to at least try the ps4 and xbones and wiius but too long of a line to try those out, which are super rare in argieland atm.
anyways, now that i have some time, imma talk a bit about always sometimes monsters since i think ppl really should give it a chance
It's just a odd situation to thrust on a player and hope they get involved with. I would probably give it a try, but I remember someone saying you need to buy a lot of pizza to stay alive or something. Really cloudy memory about it.
i reply to you again, just to write a bit more directed at you
yeah, it's an odd situation and the game's pretty open about that. you're broke, so why would you risk what little you have to go to your ex's wedding? well, the game here does two things. first, there's some mystery regarding why you're invited in the first place, since i don't think i'd invite many exes to my wedding. a big part of the game is figuring out why.
second and more importantly, the game has a lot of small dialogue choices for you to make that shape the relationship you had with your ex so you can make it make sense. so you get flashbacks of when you were together and you can then choose how was your relationship with him/her, how did it end and why, etc. there's a decent amount of room to make yourself be petty, or insecure, or needy, or whatever. and your ex can be like that too.
so after you spend some time decisioning, you'll give your character a reason. maybe your character just needs to know why they were invited, or wants to win their ex back, or needs some closure or whatever.
i really really like it because it really let me put myself in that spot and honestly answer how i would answer and it reacted in ways i always felt were appropriate and ways i could relate to based on my experiences. i also liked that it wasn't overly depressing or melodramatic (tho it has its share of both) and that it allowed itself to have humor and a kickass super upbeat soundtrack. i think it's a great game, i'm sad that i didn't manage to convey that on my blog thing :/
also to reiterate, the "survival" aspect of the game is barely an issue and just like everything else it's mostly there to help you roleplay. you can sleep on the streets and eat out of the garbage or eat raw food or not eat at all. you're not gonna be seeing a game over screen every hour or whatever, the survival thing is just there so there's a "looming threat" over your head and one thing to worry about and roleplay. it leads to interesting moments and decisions, but it's not dayz or anything lol
so yeah, for $2.50, trust me, you should really give it a shot. worst case scenario the story just isn't your thing
No, and even though I did recommend it just no. save that money for a better game. Also they probably finally added wasd movement By noW.

yes, i just tried it end and you can use wasd or arrow keys if you want. iirc i played it with a controller but i don't have one on me to try it out
other than that update your review is fine, it's a game about roleplaying a pretty shitty situation in someone's life, if that sounds interesting to you, then you should play it. i think you can do way worse for 2.50, and for 60 dollars too.
To be honest with you I don't think the game is worth it at any price. Worst game I played last year. Story didn't click with me at all and it has the usual RPGMaker game problems.
what are the usual rpgmaker game problems? there are some annoyances like rpgmaker mapping f12 to reset game is pretty bad since it's the same key as steam's default "take screenshot" or not having overlay support, but that's hardly the game's fault, specially considering how cheap it is selling for
the story not clicking with you is fair but you seem really harsh without giving much of a reason.
2.5$ is a geat price for ASM
yup, for that price, give it a shot if you're midly interested in it.
if you liked stuff like to the moon or gone home or cart life it should be right up your alley
Oniken is on sale this week ( 80% off = $1.59 ) , the game is great , i would recommend it to people that enjoyed ninja gaiden on the NES since this game is really similar
i thought you had said omikron and i was like similar to ninja gaiden wtf??
Tried that Hotline Miami number.
Weird voice told me they march into march.
cool, since if my plans work out i'll be rich by then!
