I just want XII... totally underrated, but that game is awesome and would look great on PC.

Hated XII the first time I played it. Couldn't even bring myself to finish it. Then went back to it like 5 years later, tried again and fell in love. No idea why. But I find myself thinking about that game and wanting to really explore it even today.

That was why I said in the start. It has the unfortunate problem of making you feel like you have to do so much but have little time to do it in the beginning. Then you realise you can just use chronostasis every 5 seconds, and because you thought you didn't have enough time so you rush, you end up with a load of spare time at the end of the game. I had the same problem,

I did every single side quest for the trophies, and I slept most of the last 3 or 4 days.

Went ahead and picked up The Fall, been wanting to play it forever and finally just bit at $10. I've heard some great stuff about the story from here and the Giant Bomb guys liked it a lot so I've got high expectations.

I'm not sure XII is underrated. Everyone on GAF seems to love it. I feel like an outlier as someone who still doesn't really care for it very much.

I wish I could say the same myself. Every single time I get bored because of it's pacing issues.

That said, I've never liked the combat in it so I think that was the real reason. XIII also had severe pacing issues, but I got through it because I liked the combat.

It's just the world I'm interested in. I don't know. Something about that world makes me want to search every corner and see everything there is to see.

Isn't that because it was set in Ivalice which ties with FFTactics and that is heavily into politics itself.

World never really resounded with me. :/ Then again I never played much of the original Tactics. Only Tactics Advance which I never finished because I got stuck on some boss that I was apparently underlevelled for, and gave me some really bullshit laws to boot.

Oh, I'll take this with a grain of salt then. We haven't heard anything from S-E themselves and they've announced the release dates for both XIII and XIII-2 like a month in advance. Would be kinda weird for some german mag to beat them to the punch like that.

I actually finished my XII on PC, with emulator. It's beautiful on emulator. I don't remember why did I left it back then on the PS2 era.
If you're asking for a remaster though, it's possible but won't be in the near future I guess.

I'll wait and see how the monetization works. There's alot of F2P trash out there, but i've actually had some incredibly positive experiences with some F2P games on PC when done right (Path of Exile and Warframe both come to mind. PoE mostly makes it's money from cosmetic upgrades a-la DOTA, and Warframe has a "pay to skip the grind" style of monetization, but the 'grind' in Warframe is constructed well enough that almost everything is totally feasible to do just by playing the game)

I do wonder why they picked 2-vs-2. Seems like such an odd number.

Others claim they fixed it by deleting their "userdata" folder in the Steam directory and then trying to turn Steam on again. I would advise against that though as that's where saves/screenshots and all that are stored. In fact, I kinda wonder if the others are even aware they just deleted everything. Hope they had backups.
