The usual 20% discount codes do work with credit but I don't think there is one atm.
Not defending uPlay, but it's not like that will be a problem when you actually play the game. The downloader for WoW will do the same thing, for example. Heck, Steam used to do it to me quite a bit.

With the Blizzard downloader it was down to it using a peer to peer system which can be turned off, I've never had this kind of issue with steam. I know it won't affect gameplay but I don't like the idea of something using something that's taking up way more bandwidth than it should.

And I never said that Nintendo was "kids only". Where I was going with this is that Nintendo hasn't catered to what "gamers" want and started going after the more casual market, which kind of fits their IPs and such rather well.
Maybe they're making expanded efforts to try to convince "gamers" that they're more than just casual with these moves to procure games such as Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third... they're kind of betting that these games will convince those people who did not buy a Wii U for the new Mario, Mario Kart, Mario Spinoff #673, or whatever itereation of their established franchises will win over the people who primarily game on PC/Sony/MS platforms. Nintendo is again reaching for the demographic that they perceive to be their weakness and where they are "missing opportunities for sales".
What they don't realize, as far as I've seen anyway, is that it *should* take more than just an IP or two to get someone to want to invest in your platform and buy software for your system. Sure the "Nintendo Network" is free to use and I'm not super familiar with the changes made for Wii U at this point, but last I knew they were still using friend codes and missing things that the "core gamer" wanted years ago like achievements and a single account system. Just like the "core gamer" wanted HD and Online last gen and Sony stepped up and delivered on HD and struggled but managed to build a decent online competitor to Xbox, Nintendo had barely functional online, no achievement system for those who are interested, and eschewed HD saying that people didn't want or need it and they weren't going to assume the extra development costs to do it. When everyone started emulating Wii games on dolphin to get them in 1080p and Nintendo put out a new console, they finally came to realize they did need HD games. But they still have seemingly learned nothing from previous generations and are still stumbling through online features.

there's also tons of spiderwebs in many pictures and spider-like enemies so it wouldn't surprise me if it's related somehow.

Talking about animations now and that they're made for 30fps. Oh but you can uncap the framerate! Could lead to weird stuff happening. Very cool imo. Not the weird stuff but that they give the choice.

So uncapping is officially allowed but not officially supported. I get not wanting to reanimate everything since they made the game for 30 on consoles, but not even making sure it doesn't bug out? Fuck off with that noise. This is motherfucking PC you are talking about and these kinds of attitudes are just insulting. I know people think all PC gamers are stingy, but I've seen plenty of people buy well polished games at full price. It's because of insulting shit like this that they don't want to reward your lazy asses and encourage devs to continue giving us shitty ports.

Yep. You have to do the girlfriend challenges and you will receive videos of the models dancing. The more challenges you do the less they will wear.

I got one by crafting a badge. Got it instead of a crappy coupon. We'll probably use them to craft summer badges to get special crappy coupons.
