At this point I don't even know if I want to play the Evil Within DLC. The story didn't necessarily make me want to see more.

I liked the DLC a lot but know you didn't like the base game too much. What I can say is the story saw a big improvement in the DLC, it kind of explains it better, and I thought the DLC villain was leagues better than the main story villain. It also made me like Kidman, which is impressive as I could not give two shits for her in the main game.

But the DLC does play differently as there's hardly any combat, almost completely stealth-based, and has completely different areas, new enemies built around diversity of stealth, and improved stealth mechanics. Even the few returning areas have twists on them

like the area you fought the two ogres in the main game is at night and used as a site for a puzzle, and go to a new area nearby this with a ritual ground.

The first sale after the move to community both threads stayed open, everyone afterwards got locked, so it's fair to assume nothing will change and it'll get locked again.
Agree with you, I always plan on being active in sale threads but it's just too much to follow and I drop out quickly until after the sale.

I actually am liking the game. I kind of expected not to at all, but been having fun. It's not a game I'd run through the streets telling everyone to buy, but I do legitimately think it's far better than people may think it is. It's not trash, just a bit above average with some below average animations and such, and in need of a bit of balancing on certain elements.

The game is pretty fun if you can get past some budget jank. Which is mainly in the multi mission mode.

I wonder if they're going to have all the deals available for the entire sale again. While i liked that i could just buy the games i wanted on any day during the sale, i missed the excitement from seeing what each days deals would be and there was no reason to keep checking the store. Didn't it also mean no flash sales last time?

FWIW I thought it was pretty good.
For a long time you don't even get a gun so it's pretty tense, kinda like Alien Isolation though not as good of course.
Also fills in blanks in the story since you get to see what Kidman was up to, it works exactly like Separate Ways in RE4.
Length is decent.

As for the dlc where you play as the dude with a safe for a head, it's actually fun. It's pretty short so it doesn't overstay its welcome.

GTA will probably be a shitty sale with Shark Points.

They stopped doing that since the fan outcry. The recent midweek sale from a month or two ago was 40% off without any of that shark crap.

I've finally uninstalled The Witcher 3 for good. That's 50GB out of my HDD, phew.

Easily one of my favorite games of all time. The expansions are pretty great as well. Did my best to complete the achievements, but nah I don't think I can deal with it.

I really hope CDPR can somehow remake the first two games with RED3 Engine. Maybe separate each act into White Orcard sized maps and that'll do just fine. There's huge potential market for the first two games. The first one is not accessible for non PC gamers, and the Witcher 2 is PC/360 exclusive. Lots of new fans started playing The Witcher from the Wild Hunt and still missed the first two games, and lots of them want more adventure featuring Geralt. Ending The Witcher series at this point is like leaving money on the table. Good bye Geralt, you'll be missed.

I gotta beat Pillars of Eternity to get the space to install this game to play the expansion!

Games like Dark Seed II can run on modern machines but require a copy of 3.1 in the DosBox package.
