I don't mind screenshot compression that much, after all they are all kept for eternity, also storage space we get is huge, and servers aren't cheap.
Even more so that you can have an alternative source for uncompressed screenshots when such need arrives.

I know I shouldn't be annoyed but this, but I am.
They should fix the damn game, sort out why translation was applied this way and fix it, do something about performance while their at it, before doing bikini dlcs.

I mean, its DLC they were doing for the PS4 anyway and it was probably already done before release or its contents were pretty much ported to PC in around 20 minutes. It's not like the extremely small attention this DLC had to be developed could just be focused on fixing the PC port instead.

Have you tried running the game from a SSD? If so, and it didn't help, RAM drive?
(Just put the main game data, not the videos, unless you have 128+ GB)

Even more so that you can have an alternative source for uncompressed screenshots when such need arrives.

Storage space is actually not that expensive on the scale that Valve is operating at. But they could monetize it by doing something like 1GB space added for every 10 Steam community levels or just outright sell it (like they used to do with TF2 backpack expanders). It could be optional too so let people decide whether they want fewer high quality screenshots or if they're okay with the current, compressed JPGs we get. More options are always better right?

Well, uploading all my screenshots to some other site outside steam just to post them in specific thread on forum is not really useful in my opinion. Steam is good for screenshots storing and hosting, and i never saw any real complaint about compression from Steam side. Is there any side-by-side comparisons of non-compressed and steam screenshots? I'm just really curious from where this rule is coming from.

In the Steam client go to options>in-game and tick save an uncompressed screenshot copy (or something similar) and then you can check yourself with your own screenshots to compare.

I crafted some badges on release day and can’t sell my 2B/A2 backgrounds until 3/24/17; if I could dump them now and make my money back on the game that would be pretty awesome, as nice looking as they are. I can wait until the hype cools down to pick them up again.

Do you have Steamguard enabled?
edit: I think if you buy cards on the market you can't sell them for a certain amount of days. This will also cause the items that you created with the bought cards to have the same restriction.

I do have SteamGuard enabled, I used a bunch of gems and even had a booster pack drop for me but must've bought some cards on the market causing the restriction; thanks for the info guys. Hopefully they'll hold their value for the next few days.

I am not quite sure why, but could it be to be eligible for the megagiver rule? I mean I still have like 10 unclaimed keys or so from bundle-trash and no one takes them, because they have it already. But as a mystery giveaway the chances someone takes them and you get +1 for the megagiver rule is higher.

I am no steak, never really liked it at all. I had a family gathering a few months ago and we went to an extremely fancy steak place so I decided to give steak one last shot thinking if I could like steaks it would probably be here. But nope, it just didn't do anything for me.

Give me a good burger over steak any day.

The funny thing about the Firis bikini costumes is that they've been in the game since day 1. I looked into cheat engine stuff for skipping some grind on ng+, and turns out there's a 'unlock all costumes' toggle in the cheat table that gives you the bikini costumes too.

Purely on numbers, Steam jpg compression is at about 90% and has visible compression artifacts which is why they aren't allowed on the screenshot thread. Jpg's at about 98% are more or less indistinguishable from lossless.
