So, since this month several good thing happened (for me and my family), I decided to host this little giveaway to celebrate. Please note that this giveaway will cover even my birthday one (I don't celebrate it and it's still some time away, anyway, but I usually host a giveaway around that time of the year here on GAF anyway), so there won't be another for a while (if not for spares or random games in and there).

You guys remember that dark souls 3 + season pass april fools giveaway? That was easily one of best things to happen here. What made it better was that the guy who did the prank was like "eh i feel bad so ill throw in a few bucks to buy the guy the game" 😂😂 good times

Herald is 20% off during the weekend. I cannot vouch for the game, I liked what I played of it during the beta but did not get to finish it, plus only half the episodes are released.

The Controller Update is the first feature patch for Herald and it releases today. It adds a new control scheme specifically designed for dual analog stick controllers. With the update it is even easier to play Herald from your couch, perhaps together with a friend!

I played it.
This release would be the first 2 episodes.
It's a very telltale-like game and the 3D models are very PS2-era ish.
However the voice acting and 2D animation is superb.

Magic cards have appreciated again. Still playing the waiting game with my Volcanic Island.

I remember the first time I checked card prices and I got confused with which cards I real-world owned and which I had in the Microprose PC game. I about shit a brick with some of the 1st edition prices.

The game is super niche, but looks like one of the most unique games I have ever seen. It's not a perfect port, nor a perfect game, but should be worth a try since it's relatively short to beat, but takes many hours to complete.

I wonder if there are benefits caused by Hearthstones popularity pushing more players to checking out magic.

So it's the same thing WoW did with its trials (theirs stop at 20 though). It's a good way to get people to keep engaged and get them to finally get pulled in. Speaking of, I should really reactivate my FF14 sub one of these days to check how the lag feels nowadays with true EU data centers. Doing Titan back when EU data center meant Canada was really a shitty experience for me.
