Oh, there is now a package for the Nonary games compilation which actually considers Zero time Dilemma purchases and shaves off 10% from the 41,99€ price? I might buy later today.

yeah i think i'm done
just opened the game up, loaded a few saves, ran around, found no new quests and just got a tiny bit of unit data and did what i was suggested yesterday here, but that just got me a tiny bit of progress, nothing really meaningful. at this point this is just wasting my time and i've ran this game dry of meaningful content
i was planning on going through it all again but it kind of wore me down, i ran out of patience for endlessly running around the same 5 areas. that was shitty already in nier 1 but i've got less free time today than i did then
anyways, same as leaving the game unfinished, that's how my thoughts are gonna be on it. there's definitely things to love about it, basically everything presentation wise is great and consistent and very much in classic nier style, they don't overdo it with the nier 1 references and there's enough new stuff that i feel like it's not just copy pasting from the first game. this is the best stuff about the game and why i spent so many hours playing it, the nier universe is one i really find enjoyable being immersed in
sadly the rest of the game mostly fell flat to me, i think the characters are all kind of awfully boring and thin, the combat is really mashy and mindless and way below what i expected from platinum and i just cared very little for the big flashy stuff that i bet blew everyone's minds. like i'm sure people found (super lategame spoilers)
super memorable and emotional or whatever, but it just felt gimmicky to me, like they're trying too hard. there's like a billion endings but most of the ones i've found are like hey i walked two steps in the wrong direction so here's this text bubble saying "9s retired" or something and i really don't get why they felt the need to make that same joke multiple times when it's not telegraphed in any way and it could make you lose a lot of progress?
i think my feelings are gonna end up being overall negative even if i don't actively hate it. i dislike a lot about it, but i like a little bit about it a lot, something like that, tho i guess "world building, sense of place and aesthetics" isn't really a "little bit", but in the grand scheme of things of this big action rpg thing with a billion sidequests, characters and endings it kinda feels like it

I think it's PC only. But it could be PS4/XB1/PC. Depends. But it pretty much shows how SEGA Europe and Japan operates at differents rates.

I think if I'd ever play a MOBA (and I shudder at the dark path my life would have to take to get to that) I'd go with League at this point. It just seems much more inviting, and I've grown tired of Valve's overall method of handling their titanic MP titles.

I honestly don't see anything indicating that Bayonetta would be multiplat release, that web browser game was only for Steam while they could have easily made it available to consoles too if they wanted to hype those audiences too.
Multiplat would be ideal way to go for them but honestly at this point I'm just expecting them to release the first one and see how that goes, if it does well we'll see Bayonetta Remastered for PS4, much like they did with Valkyria Chronicles.

I dunno. VC Remastered happened because of Azure Revolution. This was developped by a different team than the PC version. It'd mean SEGA would be doing something Bayo related.

Wouldn't surprise me if they have something new related to Bayonetta coming up, but I guess I'm being too positive.
Why is the first one still full-price+20$ DLC? I guess I must have the sales, gotta wishlist to give it a go down the road.

Nope. Its an Illusion (hentai game developer) game that kinda copies Summer Lesson. Though the main appeal of that game is still supposed to be the hentai aspect, so I dont quite get how a "non porn" version works.

So I recently upgraded my laptop which can now play indie/some games on lower settings.
I love strategy games like C+C, AoE, SimCity, RCT games of old. I've been away from the scene for a good few years. Is there anything recent that would scratch that itch I could play?
Played the demo of 8bit Armies which was cool but nothing else has really caught my eye. Any suggestions?

If you don't mind cRPGs, give Age of Decadence a play.
As for strategy there's Grey Goo, check out Civilization series too of course.

Do we know how strict Valve are with games that do that?
Let's say that the game contains a file named "StrategicallyPlacedLensFlares.ill" and all you have to do to get the full experience is delete that file, would that be ok?
