STEAM | September 2015 - The Phantom Pre-Load or: AAA Movies Are Just +1s To Us

no one had played the game yet so losing your shit over it period is nonsense. how can you say someone else is wrong when you have no idea yourself?

funny thing is that an 8 is about what i'd give it. Well, i would've given it a 4/5 because ten point scales are dumb

I think numbered reviews are dumb but a 5 point scale is much better. People get mad about 7 and a 8 and back in the day people used to get made about decimal points (ugh)

I don't know if someone here is playing Final Fantasy V, but I think I got a gamebreaking bug: in the Moogle Village, after you loot all chest and talk with the Moogle to grab the mantle, you are supposed to talk to the chest Moogle again, the one you helped, so he will teleport you to Castle Bal. Well, it doesn't work. I keep getting the same line again and again, the one "Maybe he's trying to tell us we can take those chests" or something like this, but he won't teleport me. I tried to talk with other Moogles here, with/without Moogle's costume, but nothing work.
And if I can't proceed, I'm stucked in this place forever.

I hope UC4 gets a 7 by Polygon, just to see the shitstorm.
I dont even know why ppl play attention to polygon, everything they do is just to rile people up and then like idiots they fall for the bait every single fucking time as you can see from the gaming side that always posts their pieces

That 8.8 lol

Gotta start playing MGSV sometime, ended buying the game impulsively when it came out and then got the idea to play through the whole series so I haven't even really touched 5 yet haha.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Had the same issue. Hopefully it gets fixed. Either that or I'm an idiot and doing something wrong. Let me know if you figure out how to get past it.

the only time collectible achievements are okay, is when they are tiered.

You got 10% of X, you got 20% of X, etc.

If I stumble into collectibles, naturally I will pick them up. But I do not seek them out.

The first and only game I went looking for every collectible was Crackdown and let me tell you, when you have 498 of 500 agility orbs, it doesn't matter if you have an effing map with all agility orbs listed.

I went through all 500 spots all over again to get those last two.

Never again

See thats the shit i dont understand. If it wasnt fun why waste your time doing that? Life is to short and theres to many games out there that are fun to be wasting your time on something you're clearly not enjoying

I jumped back into Witcher 3 yesterday to try and get ready for the new DLC. Im level 25 and a ton of my quests are grayed out. the new DLC is recommended for 30+ right?

Do all the old quests still give shit XP or how much can i expect to gain from the final main quests?

...wut
I need to see some posts that show this.
I was gonna get the collection by trading in my PS3 copies+some old games but the ports themselves looked good enough that a fan of the series would just need reviews to read to tide their time til they bought the game.

People dogpiled on a review that gave it a 7/10 because they didn't really like the games or the shooting personally. The fact they still gave it a 7/10 is generous if you ask me.

Then at the same time there was the same tired argument about "Drake is a mass murderer"

Then a mod locked the thread.

Why isn't there a preload for Transformers Devastation yet?!

I ask that question everyday.
Sadly not all PC games get preload, but companies favour consoles so they give Sonty and Boney owners a preload *shrugs*

The 'drake is a mass murderer' is a joke GAF created, now they pay for their insolence!
It's like the person who played Uncharted never played a video game before in their life.

I murdered more soldiers in Metal Slug games than UC games combined.
...and I hate the combat in the UC games but enjoy the journey/adventure.

Well this was quite something to walk in on. Prinny trying to kick out mods lol. Anyway doubt there will be a preload for transformers. We would have had it by now if they cared. If it's not COD on steam acti doesn't push for the extra work. Hoping it's good though. Will be renting it from red box.

It has a dinosaur robot why the hell are you 'renting' it?
The real jawmuncher wouldn't 'rent' video games featuring dinos, who are you?!

Steam-GAF's Official Ambassador to Gaming-GAF
SEGA Europe: "We're on the right track"

On the market

"We're on the right track, and that's how [Sega Sammy] look upon us. They see Europe as a very solid base. We've had a lot of changes in different parts of the world, but that's within a big company. There's always things going really well and other things you have to adjust. In general, we're definitely on the right track."

On Halo Wars

"How many opportunities do you get, as a company or a studio, to work with one of the biggest IPs in the world?" Post asks, in response to my query about Sega's thinking. "I believe it's testament to our strategy. Microsoft approaching us and saying they wanted to work with us because we're the specialists in this field - what a great opportunity that is. Nothing changes. The studio is owned by Sega, we will get a lot of learning, and we're happy to work with Microsoft."

On Alien Isolation 2

"Alien: Isolation 2 is not out of the question, because we're so proud of it and there's possibly more to be said. But do we really want to be spending very significant amounts of money, and getting close to break-even or just about in the black? That's not where Sega wants to be, when we have a brilliant portfolio of other games that do great business."
