Really sucks how techland are fucking dying light mods. Have to put steam into offline mode otherwise most mods wont work now

Contrary to the Steam community posts, it appears that Tiny Echo keys have been granted to Humble Monthly July 2017 owners.

Hmm, it's not in either my keys or my library. :/

I got one of those and it's great, needed to buy a pop filter but other than that it's been really nice. I just got the Blackout edition that came with Watch Dogs 2 it was on sale for like $70, I don't know how different that Pro version is you linked.

I have one for Twitch and podcasting and it's great. I had a Snowball for ages and the Yeti is a major step-up. You definitely want a pop filter though, you can get one that fits over it like a sock. They help with plosive sounds, your b sounds like buh, that kind of thing.

This is the one I have.

If you have room, a boom arm is a good investment as well, will help with the mic not picking up background noise, fan vibrations, keyboard taps and such. Also makes it more adjustable, although the included stand is pretty good and has some nice weight to it.

You only need the Pro if you are buying a mixer, or see yourself getting a mixer at some point since the major feature is that it has aux ports and such.
This sounds great. I guess I can do with the normal edition. I'll look into that, and thanks for that link to the pop filter hood. I had found one but a hood seems more useful.

So guys, I just started up my Let's Play of Resident Evil 7 (have mercy on me, I don't know how I'm gonna play through this entire thing but I'm just gonna do it!), and I got a very strange problem. When people talk, the voices don't actually match the mouth movement and subtitles, why is this? Do I have to change some specific settings to fix this?

Damn, Ys SEVEN has only sold ~2600 copies..

Is there some reason why this would drop off so drastically from the other entries in the series?

It was kind of expensive and doesn't have the best reputation. I still got it just to support XSEED.
Personally not a big fan of party Ys games. I'm way more excited for Zweii II than I am for Ys VIII, heh. Might just be the last mid 2000s "classic" Falcom game we get in quite some time.

Tbf Zwei II is more late 2000s, i think it was their last game they developed for PC themselves
I think the only game we're really missing from that time is something called RINNE which I don't know much at all

I'd love to see their earlier stuff too

So, someone at gaming side revived a post from a year ago, and I just found that someone was very angry at me a year ago because I said a certain game looked impressive, but boring.

Thanks for saving me from gaming side, SteamGaf!

Yeah but I feel they changed when they went to become exclusive Playstation developers. Thus Zweii II is their last "classic" game for me.

You can't afaik. I think Steam has always scheduled the updates, it just it didn't always tell you about the scheduling. You can always manually initiate a scheduled update, but that obviously doesn't help if you are at work or something.

.

thats a shame. I know you can tell a game to install on your PC via the phone app..wonder if updates are shown there...

down to try that mirage game though! hopefully it gets a nice boost in players.

I hope Danganronpa v3 becomes available for preorder soon, I want to know how Spike Chunsoft will price it. Seeing that Ys is full-price, I'm expecting that, but maybe it's a little less?

Syberia 3 lack of success is certainly well earned. What a mess of a game, makes the previous two games look like timeless masterpieces in comparison. It looks nicer, sure, but the bad image quality makes it hard to appreciate, and it has terrible frame-pacing issues (thanks to (not working around) Unity Engine). The voice acting is just comically bad, I mean, you could at least try to give these Russians some hint of an accent. But nope, perfect generic American accent.
Then there is the horrible animation, where no movement, outside the cutscenes, has buildup or wind down, meaning Kate moves around like a lifeless roboter, pardon me, automaton. The writing has regressed, from simple and cheesy to shitty 90s Saturday morning cartoon. As for the plot,
I don't even get why Kate isn't just leaving everything and just living anywhere else. I guess so far her motivations make sense, wanting to escape this lunatic asylum, but the game is clearly implying that she will accompany the Youkols. She was dealing with a lot of stuff when she going on the journey with Hans Vorarlberg, clearly a form of escapism. Shouldn't she be kinda over it by now?
The only redeeming thing is Inon Zur brilliant soundtrack, that seems utterly wasted on this.

No idea what Sokal was trying to achieve, and how it could release in such a state. I guess he doesn't actually play his games, so why not just let Syberia 2 be? I guess some men just want to see the world burn.

It's full price on PS4 so probably will be here too
Although the PC version is through Spike Chunsoft, not NISA so who knows

The fairly late ports were $30 so $60 for a new game isn't a stretch

Really so sad to hear bad things about Syberia 3. :/ You know, i started first and second game after they announced third game, and than this... Fuck.

finished LiS before the storm ep 1

game focused a lot more on characterization but lost the mysteries from the first game, the characters are decent, and Chloe honestly is more interesting to play as if you like the whole teenage years growing up perspective, since she's much more rebellious and destructive, and both Rachel and her are similar so you also learn more about those 2 characters while having fun with the choices.

also i think the cutscenes are really well directed (compared to LiS that is, even it's still low budget), there were quite a few scenes that look pretty as hell, and the atmosphere was good, if you like that sorta of stuff it's nice

That's my impressions so far. I briefly considered to refund it, but I think I will stick with it just for nostalgia's sake. And the few moments, where the music flares up are really nice, as before.

I don't like the PSP graphics and aesthetics. I'm fine with the usual YS aesthetics, it fits the franchise. But YS Seven is just ugly. Also it's too close to YS VIII.

Ys VIII is up for preorder.

Still no Blue Relfection.

Wow, that's like half the USD price for me.

Now I'm torn, should I buy both YS VIII and Divinity OS 2?

Possibly stupid question. I'm new to Humble Monthly, so I'm looking at using the discount to buy games for Steam for a bit cheaper. If I were to preorder a game on the Humble store, do I still get the preorder bonuses when I redeem it on Steam?

Huniepop was dope. Thought it was trash, a friend let me try it. Ended up playing some 30+ hours in it, unlocking everything.

SR4 felt like a Prototype 2 mod for SR3. The skills don't feel anywhere as good as they do in P2.

playprototype2playprototype2playprototype2

prototype 1 and 2 were great games i really enjoyed both of them games and play them once a year

Generally you do since Humble is a legit seller, but always worth checking the game's Humble Store page just in case.

Worth dropping them a tweet @humblesupport if it's unclear, they usually DM me an answer after an hour or two.

Is there a way to just have Steam completely and totally ignore all gamepads?

This is just so unimaginably annoying. All I want is to use my DS4Windows profile, then charge via USB when I get low on battery. But every time I plug in my controller, Steam hijacks it and then I get double inputs, all kinds of chaos, etc. I have to close it, restart my computer, and reinstall the DS4 via Bluetooth.

I've already got it set to Hide Dualshock 4, etc, on DS4Windows.

I'd be happy to use Steam's native Dualshock 4 support if it wasn't awful. For some reason it enables some hypersensitive gyro in Dark Souls III, and other weird shit like R3 not working in GTAV. Wish Valve could just like.... make things work or let me opt out of their forced features like this. The whole "plug and play" support Steam pretends to have for gamepads is half baked and terrible.

You can just uncheck it in big picture mode. Click the cog > controller settings > ps4 configuration support. Are you sure your problem is Steam, and not the fact that you're plugging it into your PC?

It is unchecked, I have told it not to support Dualshock 4 or any other controllers.

It's 100% a Steam problem. Anything from GOG or any other clients works completely fine with DS4Windows. Basically, I can play via Bluetooth, run low on battery, plug it into my case, charge it, and the unplug it seamlessly. Essentially just like you can do on a PS4.

Steam's native controller "support" just hijacks it as a generic xinput device and then I get doubled inputs and other weird stuff like.... gyro camera (!?) on Dark Souls III. Then when I unplug it, it's no longer recognized by Bluetooth and has to be uninstalled / reinstalled.

Does anyone have a similar problem, or a solution?

SteamGAF yesterday: GOG sucks for not selling anime VNs.

SteamGAF today: Humble sucks for selling anime VNs.

Weird. I had an issue with DS4Windows (an older version since one of the newer versions caused me other problems) where on certain occassions upon plugging it into the USB port to charge/play then unattaching it to continue using Bluetooth it would disconnect and I'd need to re-pair it. Never considered it might be something Steam related but I didn't get the double inputs or gyro problems you had so it's probably unrelated.

I ended up just charging the controller via the wall rather than the computer so as to not change the controller from BT to USB input and always stay on Bluetooth. Someone here suggested it as they do the same. Been what I've used ever since.

What other games specifically? Are you sure it's not the games themselves and that Hide DS4 is actually functioning properly? Is Steam explicitly alerting to you that it's recognizing your controller when you plug it in?

So, that Sakura bundle...

Tempted by the $10 tier, but Steam reviews are mostly focused on "Anime bewbs!", so I'll ask here:

Are the games worth it to play, or are they just soft-porn, and money is better spent either on better games, or better porn?

Edit:

Oh! Also, for region locked games, the thing I have to look for is the run-lock, right? "Only Allow Run in Countries", or something? If it's just purchase-locked, I can play it wherever, and it's just to ensure people can't game the cheaper prices, right?
