Seems to be the running theme for practically every game on my wishlist. Quite a few games always have the same sale price, for years.Hoping for some good deals, but I'm sure that we'll get the usual Sekiro for $30 per usual

Steam sales these days are only really useful and/or interesting for niche games that are hard to find on other stores and have the same price.
MercurySteam releasing new game reminds me I still need to grab this.
It’s coming with the Legion Go S in MayValve has been sleeping a bit too much lately. Where the hell is the official Steam OS release? Last I heard it was going to release in March. it's March.
Well? Were waiting.
Yeah, that's true, but what I meant is that, for the most part, you can find great sales on other stores throughout the year too, which makes Steam sales not as appealing as they were years agoThere are plenty of those though and you don't give up the ability to refund. Also, a lot of times the other stores prices will adjust down to compete so still a good time to look for deals.

I don't understand anyone who buy the game from steam directly when the publishers are greedy as fuck.
this price you want to charge for a PS3 game ? right..
Not all games are available to be bought on 3rd party websites (some indie titles).I don't understand anyone who buy the game from steam directly when the publishers are greedy as fuck.

Yeah, I will probably sit it out as well. If the recent Chilla's Art game go on sale I might grab them but that's it.Definitely sitting this one out
Obviously refunds and changes to Steam's policies regarding discounts has put a damper on the excitement of the sales (remember "Flash Sales"? Amazing stuff!). However, also having unlimited forward compatibility on PC, combined with a personal library of games that only grows over time, means that most of us that have been gaming on PC for a long time already own the things we want and are therefore immune to caring how deep a discount can be had during the sales.I always like looking at Steam sale threads for one thing which is seeing who gets excited and who doesn't. I can tell long time PC gamers from new players by how they react.
Steam sales used to be so damn good. It's hard to find any excitement nowadays.

For example, last year The Witcher 3 price dropped to just $4 during the Summer Sale - the lowest price it's ever been. That's obviously an insane deal for someone just getting into PC gaming, but the vast majority of us have picked it up somewhere along the way when it was $10, or $20 (still a good deal!). Heck, last month Steam had Skyrim for just $4 as well - same thing, crazy value for people that don't already have it.
When you get to have a Steam library that's my size (almost 5000 games) there is obviously a huge chunk of the store that will get great discounts that I personally won't care about at all.
Absolutely.Steam sales died after they stopped making pricing errors and got rid of flash sales.
Now the reality is that most games are on sale all year round via 3rd party key sites.
